Looking to replace the aluminum boards. For sure the passenger ones that look like crap with all the other chrome...then do the drivers to match. Any suggestions? Don't want to have to change the mounting hardware. Needs to be durable too. -
Talked with Hannigan Motor Sports this morning about the auxiliary fuel tank they will be offering for their trike conversion kit. It is still in R&D and no date is available as to when it will be available. The tank will be 5 gallons. It will be placed under the passenger seat and a filler nozzle nearby with key The unit will not be a gravity fed unit and will have a pump and switch. The price with be just under 700.00 and does not include installation.

Has anybody replaced the passenger headset connection? I bought the Bike used so don't know but it looks like it got caught in the rear wheel and was pulled off. I Generally work on my own stuff but this time I took it to the Stealer for repair. After taking it to them I think I know more than they do. OK here is my question.... To replace this cord do you have to replace the passenger volume control and CB talk button or does it unplug before or at the button controls? I unpluged the connection on top of the rear fender and it works to that point. thanks in advance for any help. -
While on a ride today I had a close encounter with a Turkey Buzzrd, the silly thing took off as I was approaching and flew back across the road. Managed to go between the windshield and me, his wing was right in front of my face , had to duck to miss him, good thing I did not have a passenger, because they would have collected the bird for sure. My buddy riding behind me said it was so close he thought I had hit the bird, but we both survived to talk about it.

My low beam on the driver side went out, but still have high beam. Replaced the headlamp and all is fine for 24 hours then the same low beam goes out. Being that that the Passenger side both hi and low works I tested both the old and the new lamp in the Passenger side and yep both the low beams are out on the old and recently new one. I then put the good one from the passenger side and put it into the Driver side and the Driver side now has both low and high beam. I can see why the low beam on the old headlamp go out after nearly 17 years but why would the brand new headlamp low bean go out within 24 hours. If there is a short wouldn't the fuse blow instead of the headlamp low beam? I now that one possibility would be that the low beam on the new one might be defective. I sure would like to know other possible reasons. Thanks Brian.

If you are looking for more comfort for your passenger check this out. I recently installed a pair of Kuryakyn highway pegs for the passenger on my Goldwing. My wife has now ridden with them a couple of times and she said they do make the ride more comfortable and they allow her to move her feet around. They don't get in my way at all and when not in use they just fold flat against the side cover and they add more chrome. Here are some photos. Dennis

We just got our Royal Star Venture (what do I call it, a Venture? An RSV?) and we're both noticing WOW it's HOT on the feet. He has highway pegs so he's fine but I'm wondering if anyone has any solution for the passenger??? I really cannot STAND hot feet and would love passenger highway pegs - are there such a thing? I know you can get passenger foot rests to give you different positions from Diamond but is there anything I can get that puts them out into the wind? Thanks!!! -
I have been looking for passenger arm rest for my 2006 RSTD, But have'nt had any luck. Im afriad to modify something and weeken the back rest. This is for my child so I would like to find something thats made for the make and model. Does anyone have an ideal. thanks.

Erika is considering trying out the role of passenger with me. We will wear proper gear. I do understand the adjustments to the suspension of the bike for the extra weight. I have not had a passenger on the back of a bike in about 25 years, and she has never been a successful passenger. Back in her high school days her boy friend took her for her first ride and was showing off and they crashed, it was a bad crash with extended hospital time. So she is understandably concerned. Neither of us are small people and it will be a load for the bike. I am wondering about the best way for us to safely learn to ride together. My thoughts were to find someone that is an experienced passenger to ride with me a few times to let me get used to the extra weight, and higher center of gravity. Someone that already knows the dos and don't of being a passenger. I am sure the handling will come back to me quickly. and/or Have her ride with a friend that has done a huge amount of 2 up riding. Or just load her up and head for some deserted roads and/or my favorite practice parking lot. Any other suggestions?

Hello all, I have a 2004 RSV and I really want a windshield with a vent. I am very short at 5'6" and I'm tired of windshields that are so tall (for me). My wife is the same size I am, Do you think she would still be protected from head buffeting with the medium clearview. Does anyone have this size with a passenger. This shield is 3" shorter than stock, but 4" wider.

Ride a 2003 RSV with a champion escort sidecar. RSV passenger headset wiring is piped into the sidecar and rider in car accesses with a plug just as bike passenger would. There is extreme engine noise and interference over the intercom. Volume adjustment does not eliminate this static/whine/interference. That's one issue. Looking for help. I'm in the Seattle WA area. The sidecar electrics operate off the bike. The SC is wired for hydraulic brakes, tail lights, turn signals. Lots of wiring under the driver seat. The problem is the bike often stops...quits, becomes a nice looking pile of metal/plastic/rubber. And I know zip/nada about all things electric. So any recommendations for a solution, in the Seattle area, would be appreciated. :

I don't know where to post this so this will do. I hope I don't upset anyone. I need an extra set of the rubber/plastic pieces that go on the rear passenger trunk mount. Two of the pieces are the black rubber/plastic passenger arm rest. The left and right piece. The other is the center black rubber/plastic piece in the center of the trunk support. I hope I explained this well enough. I would like to paint them another color for a project I am doing on my bike. Thanks, Harry

OK i have the oppurtunity to purchase either a Corbin seat with a drivers back rest or a Mustang Seat with a Drivers Backrest. So my question is this, for me I have ridden a mustang seat on my Virago for ten years, yet I am now moving to a 05 RSTD. So my main concern is passenger comfort. Which seat gives the passenger the best support and comfort? My wife and i a not small people so I really need some insite on this so I make the right decision. Tell me please... is the passenger seat bracket...the one that holds the front of the seat..... the same on a '96 RSTD and an '07 RSTD or are they different? Thanks in advance.

How much adjustment is there in regards to passenger floor board location options. Just wondering are there any complaints of the passenger calves riding on the front edge of the bags making it uncomfortable. I am having a 05 RSTD delivered from CA soon and trying to surprise the wife. So are there any complaints if so what has been done to correct it? Thanks, soon to be pround owner of a 05 RSTD. If I lend my bike to my son, who has a cycle endorsement, do I have to worry about any legal issues if he decides to take a passenger? I know my motorcycle insurance will cover lending the bike to someone legal to ride, as long as it is not more than a certain number of times a year to the same person, after that they need to be added to the policy. But is there any other things I need to be aware of?

Hi. I have an 83 Venture with the stock passenger foot pegs.I want to install the upgraded foot rest.Is the bracket the same from years 83- 86? I see lots of foot rests on Ebay that are from 86- 89 years.Can anyone help? Thanks, Ray:think: -

If there are no takers in the next 7 days, I will list on Ebay. BTW, I have another partial set (unstudded) that does not include the passenger backrest. So, if the studs are not your thing, I can substitute the unstudded partial set for the same price. I just want to have an extra rider and passenger seat as a backup for the pillowtops.
