  1. a friend sent me this, so ill pass it on, http://www.tailofthedragon.com/dragon_trucks.html
  2. If anyone is building their own trailer the attached link might be for you. I think this is a good deal? I've never seen them listed before so I thought I would pass it on. http://cgi.ebay.com/250-Torsion-axle-4-bolt-hub-Motorcycle-Trailer-Camper_W0QQitemZ290357120994QQcmdZViewItemQQptZMotors_RV_Trailer_Camper_Parts_Accessories?hash=item439aa20fe2
  3. It just goes to show that when it comes to motorcycles....there is no generation gap! Here's a pix of the youngest Cody rider and the oldest having a good time talkin' chrome on top of Beartooth Pass! (I'm not even gonna mention the rest of you that tried to teach him your bad habits!!! )
  4. We made it! what a great trip even without the bear tooth pass. Went for a nice ride from Lipan to San diego by way of Yuma, to Reseda, to Santa Cruz, over to Lake Tahoe, then to Salt lake. on to Rock Springs through Cheyenne down thru Denver across the Raton Pass east to Amarrillo and Witchita Falls back to Lipan. Don't sound like much really rote down like that, but the things we saw and the folks we met, would not trade for it at all. Had a great time. A few wrong turns and such. The Mighty Steed performed flawlessly. The Butler mod to Dawns seat helped her alot but we did need to stop in tahoe and get her a sheepskin pad for her bottom. All in all a great trip. Can't wait for next year!
  5. Just wondering if anyone is going to Sturgis, and who is or knows someone who is interested in my '83 that I have for sale. If they would be interested in swinging by my place so that they could take a look at my bike and then pass that info along to any interested parties.
  6. Jury Duty Scam DO NOT DELETE WITHOUT READING ! Pass this on. This has been verified by the FBI (their link is also included below). Please pass this on to everyone in your email address book. It is spreading fast so be prepared should you get this call. Most of us take those summonses for jury duty seriously, but enough people skip out on their civic duty, that a new and ominous kind of fraud has surfaced. The caller claims to be a jury coordinator. If you protest that you never received a summons for jury duty, the scammer asks you for your Social Security number and date of birth so he or she can verify the information and cancel the arrest warrant. Give out any of this information and bingo; your identity was just stolen. The=2 0fraud has been reported so far in 11 states, including Oklahoma , Illinois , and Colorado . This (swindle) is particularly insidious because they use intimidation over the phone to try to bully people into giving information by pretending they are with the court system. The FBI and the federal court system have issued nationwide alerts on their web sites, warning consumers about the fraud. Check it out here: http://www.fbi.gov/page2/june06/jury_scams060206.htm And he re: http://www.snopes.com/crime/fraud/juryduty.asp Yep! It's true
  7. OK , not sure where to post this. From my understanding freebird (aka Don) was haveing surgery today. Not in the inner circle yet,(I can wait my turn) but I do still care. If there ias any info please pass it on.I just got home from work and not sure where to look for updates.. many prayers sent up for you Don, david
  8. Im considering getting the Dydna 3000 ingition system for the 2nd Gen. I was wondering if anyone on this site has used one, and could pass on a little advice. 1) Do they increase H.P.? 2) Are they easy to setup to increase RPM range of the bike? Thanks, BoKeifUS
  9. We have had a Nat'l Park Pass over the years but have always been in a car together when visiting any of the parks. As we are each planning on riding our own bike to the Roundup in Cody this September, I wondered how it would work. I talked to the Park Service and they said that the pass would cover us both even though we are each on a separate bike and suggested that we also get decals for the bikes so that we have something on the bike showing we are in the park legally. I've never been a fan of putting decals on my vehicles, so the question is......is there a safe way to display the decal on the bike without have to worry about it being stolen or being able to remove it once it expires? I'd love to hear your ideas and innovative ways you've addressed this issue. Dave
  10. This grizzly was hit by a Harley on Lolo Pass. This is the pass between Lolo , MT and Kooskia , ID . .Look at the claws on that sucker! the biker made it thru three days in the hospital! The hog's a wreck! lesson learned : Don't go Bear Hunting with a Harley, they don't last but one bear !!!!!!!!!!
  11. Can't ride in the snow, this is a 3D illustration of my bike I've been working on this winter to pass the time. BTW this is what I do for a living.

The Midwest Horse Welfare Foundation has entered the online voting contest put on by Care2 with a grand prize of $10,000.00. The contest ends on the 31st and we are right there in the top and really need to dig deep to pull this off and win the whole thing. $10,000.00 to us and this program would be huge and would help us a great deal. 17. I just knew Don was a zillionaire....here's the proof, He OWNS a town in Ohio! And to think he was trying to pass himself off otherwise
  18. This is for anyone who was stationed or lived at Camp Lejeune between 1957-1987. Evidently there was some sort of chemical in the drinking water during this time. The Marines are sending out letters, but just in case you haven't heard yet thought I'd pass this on. I saw the story on our local news so I looked for info. I know we have some retired Marines on here. Just thought I'd pass it along. https://clnr.hqi.usmc.mil/clsurvey/ Margaret
  19. One of the best bike roads around this part of the country is US-212 from Red Lodge, MT over Beartooth Pass to Cooke City, MT. On a scale of 1 to 10, Beartooth Pass is a 9! Cooke City is only 3 miles from the northeast entrance to Yellowstone National Park. Another great ride is from Cooke City, MT to Cody, WY via US-212 and WY-296 to WY-120. WY-296 is known as the Chief Joseph Highway. This is another gorgeous drive. On a scale of 1 to 10, Chief Joseph Highway is a 7-8!
  20. Just wondering if there is a Honda goldwing site such as venture rider, I need a little info, if there is such a site could someone please pass it along thankyou!
  21. Here's one for you to consider.. There are two bridges linking our twin cities and you have to pass through the tolls.. You can toss in your coins or use an electronic pass. If you use your coins, you have to come to a stop to pull out your coins and toss them into the basket.. If sure those who have gone through tolls appreciate the annoyance of doing this, so the electronic pass is always better to use.. Last night two of our friends were stopped at the tolls to put in their coins and were hit from behind by a 5 ton postal truck who apparently did not see the large 2008 Venture (a couple of weeks old) with two people on it.. Hit them hard enough to write off the bike, toss him off and pin his lady passenger under the front axle of the truck. Though shaken up, neither were seriously hurt. She was relatively OK and even asked the rider to take a photo of her legs sticking out from under the truck for prosperity while waiting for the EMS to pull her out. She tells us she only received minor scrapes and bruises but is OK. Now, this is why I prefer to use my electronic pass as I don't have to come to a complete stop at the tolls, and the days I do forget my pass and need to stop to use coins, I turn on my 4 way flashers and pump my brake pedal a lot to get the cager's attention. My brake light is insanely bright and if some cager doesn't see it and nails me, he better make sure i can't get up cause he'll have some 'splainin' to do of his blindness. So just a heads up when coming to the tolls.. make yourself SEEN by the blind for your survival..
  22. Last week Sue and I made the move and bought a 2nd Gen. :cool10:We bought Denden's 06 Black Cherry RSV. It's a great bike and Denden and Vicki are great people. We look forward to seeing them in the future and getting to know them better. They did make us feel at home when we stopped by last saturday morning to pick up the bike enroute to Squidley's M&E. We're very happy we bought this and promised them we'd take good care of it. We'd been thinking about doing this next spring but just couldn't pass this one up. I still have my 90 VR at the moment but will put it up for sale after I get my GPS mount and some other things removed. It's also a great bike but I can't afford to keep both of them. Well, I could but Sue wants her space in the garage back. :rotf:
  23. To all our non-USA members (maybe non-North American members), PLEASE learn our driving rules before you come here to tour on your bikes. Solid yellow line means do not pass. Dashed yellow line (on 2 lane road) means you can pass if there is NO oncoming traffic. While on hwy 20 today in Middlebury, IN, we saw 3 bikes with European plates. Five people total. They had been parked in town looking at a map. We watched as these 3 bikes weaved in and out, passing cars and trucks, in both passing and no passing zones. Cars, trucks and even a motorhome was off the shoulder, almost in the ditch to avoid hitting these bikes. I'm just glad I did not have to witness a crash.
  24. I came across this ... thought it a good idea to pass along... http://www.sync-blog.com/sync/2008/08/breaking-news-f.html
  25. Good jobs use to be hard to find in WV. Now it's hard to find good people. A friend of mine said yesterday 25 people applied for jobs with his department. All 25 failed 1 or more of the first 3 requirements for hire. 1. Do you have a valid drivers licensee. 2. Can you pass a drug test ( been clean for 2 years). 3. Can you pass a criminal background check.
