  1. This weekend it is a 1,200 mile ride for me from Atlanta to St Mary's Ga. and back. The plan is to ride down tomorrow morning spend the night and then on Sunday morning lead the St Mary's Eagle Riders (As Ga State FOE Eagle Rider Ride Coordinator) to the Florida, Ga state line to meet and welcome Darrel Rall as he enters Ga on his 25,000 mile ride in 25 consecutive days to raise $15,000,000 dollars for the diabetes research center at the university of Iowa. Check out his mission/ project and real time coverage of his ride at www.ironeagle.org By the way, any riders that would like to ride or catch up and participate are welcome. just PM me.
  2. This time I hooked up my satellite radio and it worked ok but it kept cutting in and out don't know why.
  3. This is my nice Sunday morning ride.
  4. Anyone know if they are still in business? Not answering his phone this morning.
  5. No not VRO!!! We are leaving home, Wednesday May 30th, headed to Maintenance Day. We plan to stay with relatives in Hopkinsville, KY that Wednesday night. Thursday morning, we plan to meet B2Mom and Dad somewhere east of exit 38 on the Western Ky Parkway. We will probably stop for the night Thursday "somewhere" north of Louisville and ride to Oberlin Friday morning. Anybody wanna tag along???
  6. While sitting here in the office every morning I have a news radio station playing in the background. Now that the weather has turned warmer every morning and evening I hear traffic reports of Motorcyclists down, Motorcyclist vs Semi, Motorcylist Abulance on it's way, Life flight, Fatalities..... etc. I'm not talking about once in a while... it's every morning and evening!! It's like mayhem carnage. While typing this another motorcycle accident to the hospital report was just given... It scares the cr@p out of me, to the point I don't run any errands around town any longer. It just ain't worth it...
  7. Ok, Getting ready to put a bunch of miles on the Tag-Along in the next few weeks, so time to get rid of the crappy Chinese bearings. They have probably 6000-7000 miles on them. I took the wheels off and removed the old bearings, only to find they look almost perfect. As mentioned in a post a good while back, the seals were still leaking, probably due to the lack of polishing of the sealing surface, on the axle, during manufacturing. This seems to not be a problem as both wheels were still completely full of grease. The Honda Moly was a lot more "liquid" than when I put it in there, but was evidently doing its' job, very well. Oh well, I have new Timken bearings, along with new seals, on order from Motion Industries, here in Jackson, MS. All should be here in the morning. Fore those interested; The bearing part # is 30205M (It is a cup and cone set) $18.15/Set The seal part # is 30 X 52 X 10 A-NBR $ 2.18/Each Gonna pick them up in the morning and go two blocks down and get a couple of pounds of dry ice. :cool10: Oh and go by and pick up a new tube of Honda Moly from BigBoyinMS
  8. Leaving Flatrock NL for St. Jean sur Richelieu PQ Saturday morning (19th May). Planning on crossing the island on Saturday, ferry Saturday night, 1000km across NS and NB Sunday, and the last 600 or so km Monday morning.... Any members along the way that might be interested in a coffee and a handshake, it'd be nice to actually meet some of the folks I've met on here this past year...
  9. So are there any other WI riders or others that might be passing thru WI that want to met up for the ride to Dons? At the moment my plan is to leave real early Friday morning to clear Chicago before them Ilinesian folks get up and hit the road and anything they can find on the road.
  10. Took a 924 mile round trip yesterday, picked up an ALMOST NEW (only 3533 miles on an '08) RSV to make mine again. Wanna say howdy and thanks to Jim and his wife and their dog Rowdy, it was great meeting them. Got back at 5 AM this morning! Better to sleep in your own bed! Trailer was almost too short, we had to take the trunk off! But that's why I ALWAYS take my tool bag with me!!
  11. Made up my mind this morning. Selling it all moving into town getting one room apartment with concrete all around. Nothing green in sight!! Sell car and truck. All Bikes. Sell Warden. Buy TV dinners. Buy plenty of Ammo. OK I'm done!! Things just not going as they should this morning!!!

  15. I have never been there. I am planning on maybe a mid to late June weekend trip down. Leave early Friday morning, ride the Tail a few times on Saturday and some of the surrounding scenic roads. Then head back to Michigan early Sunday morning. Any interest in a group thing? If so, I could look for some rooms to book. Let me know your thoughts. Randy
  16. It's TIME :cool10: I'm gonna be a GRANDPA this morning 1st one. Am I really that old!
  17. My daughter is getting ACL surgery this morning. Just dropped her off at the hospital (and sat with here until she was wheeled into the OR) and came home to take care of the dogs and get a shower. Will be back there in an hour to see how the surgery went. My wife is hanging out at the hospital in case anything is needed. She blew her ACL playing basketball. May have screwed her for a D1 volleyball scholarship, but that is just a minor issue now. She should be back up and playing in 6 months or so. With me having been through this surgery (twice), I know it is a tough row to hoe. But she is young and in shape and should recover quickly. She will be very devoted to the physical therapy routine to affect a complete recovery. Still, we always worry. Wish she didn't have to go thru this. It is her senior year in HS and was doing so well in both VB (went to state finals the last 3 years) and BB. However, she is a great student and a wonderful daughter. This is but a minor setback in the long run. A short prayer is always welcome. RR
  18. It got down to -9 F the other morning and today it snowed..... so off to Florida we go. We'll be leaving monday morning for 6 weeks in Orlando. Got a house sitter all lined up, tools loaded ( we do volunteer maintance work at YWAM.... Youth With A Mission). Stay warm everyone who live up here in this frozen tundra. I'll be thinking about you when I'm at the snow white beach in Sarasota one week from today. Also planning to go to the Daytona 500 and a Zillion Flea Markets.
  19. Three elderly golfers are walking down the fairway... "Sixty is the worst age to be," said the 60-year-old, "You always feel like you have to pee.. And most of the time nothing happens." "Ah, that's nothing," said the 70-year-old. "When you're 70, you don't have a bowel movement anymore. You take laxatives, eat bran, you sit on the toilet all day and nothing happens." "Actually," said the 80-year-old, "Eighty is the worst age of all." "Do you have trouble peeing too?" asked the 60-year-old. "No, I pee every morning at 6:00 am. I pee like a racehorse; no problem at all." "Do you have trouble having a bowel movement?" "No, I have one every morning at 6:30 am." Puzzled with this the 60-year-old said, "Let's get this straight. You pee every morning at 6.00 am and poop every morning at 6:30 am. So what's so tough about being 80?" "I don't wake up until seven."
  20. I was at a yamaha dealer yesterday and they have one of the new Raider SCLs. WOW, that is one good looking bike. If I could afford another bike in addition to my venture or if I only rode one up I would buy that bike in a heart beat. I went of yamaha's web site this morning and they have a video of the bike but it looks so much better in person. Yamaha is only making 500 of these. Wish I had one.
  21. Well, after steady progression on my right eye, with everything doing good, I had a setback this past weekend. I went to the VA eye clinic Monday morning and they did a review and set me up with the eye surgeon visit this morning. After a review there, I am now scheduled for surgery tomorrow. It appears I have a detached retina and macular edemia along with some scar tissue. When it rains, it pours. At this point, I can not see anything with my right eye other than a very bright pin point light. I hate to be pesimistic, but I do not feel good about what vision I might get back. RandyA

  23. The Washcloth Ladies this has to be read, laughed at and passed on. There is not a woman alive today who won't crack up over this! I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the week. Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor's office to tell me that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am. I had only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was already around 8:45am. The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I didn't have any time to spare. As most women do, I like to take a little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this time I wasn't going to be able to make the full effort. So, I rushed upstairs, threw off my pajamas, wet the washcloth that was sitting next to the sink, and gave myself a quick wash in 'that area' to make sure I was at least presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes basket, donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my appointment. I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when I was called in. Knowing the procedure, as I'm sure you do, I hopped up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and pretended that I was in Paris or some other place a million miles away. I was a little surprised when the doctor said, "My, we have made an extra effort this morning, haven't we?" I didn't respond. After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The rest of the day was normal ... some shopping, cleaning, cooking, etc. After school when my 6 year old daughter was playing, she called out from the bathroom, "Mummy, where's my washcloth?" I told her to get another one from the cupboard. She replied, "No, I need the one that was here by the sink, it had all my glitter and sparkles saved inside it."
  24. husband forgets anniversary illegul > 10/10 21:28:52 Bob was in trouble. He forgot his wedding anniversary. His wife was really pissed. She told him "Tomorrow morning, I expect to find a gift in the driveway that goes from 0 to 200 in 6 seconds AND IT BETTER BE THERE !!" The next morning he got up early and left for work. When his wife woke up, she looked out the window and sure enough there was a box gift-wrapped in the middle of the driveway. Confused, the wife put on her robe and ran out to the driveway, brought the box back in the house. She opened it and found a brand new bathroom scale. Bob has been missing since Friday.
  25. Very early Tuesday morning (0130) I had to drag Marilyn out of bed to take my sorry butt to the ER. Turns out I was having a bad gall bladder attack. (I wasn't dying..just wishing I would!) 10 hours later I got out feeling a little better. Skipped bus driving for Wed and was back at it Thursday/Friday. Sat morning I took Marilyn to clinic as our family doc was there and she needed to see him regarding Scans on her kidney stones. She tricked me and booked me in to see him at the time she was checking in. Well this was at 11am. By 1345 I was strapped on a gourney and being wheeled into the OR!! Got my gall bladder removed and was sent home at 430 that evening! Now the healing starts I guess! So...fellow gall bladderless people....what does this mean in terms of eating and avoiding stuff? Please dont tell I can't eat ice cream any more!
