A real nice guy from Charlotte NC bought my 05 RSTD. He is a fireman and he and his wife talked it over and decided the bike was for him. I am very happy that it is going to a good home. I told him about this site and sure hope that he joins us. I am going to miss the RSTD. I am working on the GW trying to make it as comfortable as the Tour Deluxe. I hope I am still welcome here.

Hi, I seem to have a problem with something getting wet and causing poor running.This has gone on for 2 years 83 VR runs perfect when dry or even damp, but after 25 or 30 miles in a medium to heavy rain, the bike starts to run poorly.....Seems to want to miss and cut out I've wondered about the TCI connections or the plug wires... any other thoughts... Thanks in advance for any info, Clay

just wanted say that the robert earl keen and the oak ridge boys show in brewton ala . was freaking wonderful. that to them for a fantastic peformance. if any one gets a chance to go se them dont miss it

Four days from now will mark a year since you left for Heaven. Not a day goes by that I don't think of you and weep for the hole in my heart. I know that you are at peace now and your demons are finally conquered. As the day draws closer, I still wonder why this all had to happen. What could I have done to prevent this? I know in my heart that when God wants you to be with Him, that it is time. That doesn't make it any better. We all still miss you so much. As the saying goes "time heals all wounds" but I'm not sure that I'm healing too well, just coping a tiny bit better than I was a year ago. The day to day struggle with life has gotten better, but oh how I miss my best friend and partner. There are so many things that I wish we could have enjoyed together this past year. You would have loved the Colorado Rockies and the trip into Canada. Even though I know it would have been too hot for you! I have plenty of pictures and memories that I will share with you when we see each other again. I'm so happy that you got to be a part of this club. They are more than a bunch of Yamaha riders, they are truly our family in the finest sense of the word. Without the love and friendship that I have gotten here, I don't know how I would have made it. I know that every time I get on the bike that you are there with me and watching over me. Even when I do something stupid you are there for me, and I still do plenty of stupid stuff. The pain will always be there but the good memories are there as well and all I have to do is remember them to bring a smile to my face. Until we see each other again, always know, I love you Debbie.

I'm not new to motorcycles but i'm new to the Venture Royale. I just bought an 83 with a little damage, my problem is that I don't the difference between a VXZ and a VXE . My bike was listed as a VXE, it needs a side cover and I',ve found one for a VXZ. Don't laugh but for all I know VXE could have been a miss print. Anyway I need to know so I can bid on the cover if it will fit. Please help! thanks Shaggy Perservere to endure

We need some advice. StarRider and I will be attending the Rally at KW next July and will be travelling through the states. We will be stopping in Minneapolis to see friends and then south through the Chicago area. Is there a way around Chicago so that we can miss the toll roads. Or is it better to take the more direct route through Chicago. We would probably pick up 94 in Indiana, and then into Michagan to Detroit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Maybe some one can help with this? Last fall had the carbs syn. now after bike sat for a few months started bike and fired right up but one cyl. had a poping like a miss or backfire. any ideas on what it could be and how to correct. Thanks
