on Tuesday Oct 12 , my mom had a severe stroke.she is now in a therapy/rehab facility, ,that is almost as good as a 5 star hotel! the "it's official", part is that i RETIRED so that i could be here at my sister,s home to help out with all that is going on. i can't say i don't miss going to work, but i do miss the "visiting with the guys " part. coming to ya live from Danbury Texas. just jt

Hi y'all, I'm back on the board after a few months' absence. I got laid off and even the $12 membership was a stretch to me, but I'm happy to report that I'm working again! Did anyone miss me? (BTW, my bike is for sale and can be found in the Classified section).

Since I have had my hip and knee replaced last year and doing great I might add. I have decided to sell my Sidecar rig. I have been ridding the 2001 I got 2 months ago and just haven't been ridding the hack much. I'm sure I will miss it when its gone ( hard to beat on a trip ). Its in the classifieds if anyone is interested.

We went on a night ride last night and on the way home I developed a problem. The speedometer went erratic and the engine started missing badly. The speedometer quit working and the bike ran normal. Intermittently the speedometer would come on erratic and the miss would return then go off and run fine. Made it home but don't know where to start. Any one have this problem? I am thinking ignition switch or coil. Thanks Rod

The wife and I had a wonderful ride today, 'bout 200 miles with the brother-in-law and a couple from church. Went to a christian biker get together played biker games and a good lunch rode to a fish house for supper then headed home. Great day until we got 5 blocks from home then an idiot lady pulled out from a gas station right in front of us brakes and a real close near miss, Thank god it was only a near miss, but 3 seconds can wipe out a wonderful day in the country. So you all be careful out there because the blind cagers ARE out to get you!!!!

Here are some things written in that paper. All Sorts "Misfortunes never come singly." Same way with twins. "Reaching after the unattainable." A man feeling up under the back of his vest for the end of a parted suspender. All men are not homeless, but some are home less than others. Farmers make hay when the sun shines, and the young folks make love when the moon shines. Two things that no fellow can do at the same time are --to hold a pretty girl upon his lap and keep from kissing her. Why is your nose in the middle of your face?--Because it's the scenter. This is the first year that Neapolis has been blest with an Ice-House filled with plenty of good ice, thanks to Massr. Billings and Jones. Local The Neapolis Sunday School has a membership of 35 L. D. Bingham has his new residence about completed. Coburn & Co. , have shipped 60 bushels of Huckleberries this season. D. A. Fuller raised 25 bushels of Strawberries this year. Miss. Grace Bliss has been engaged to teach the winter term of school. Miss. Katie Billings killed a snake of the Blue Racer species that measured four feet, seven inches. G.O. Coburn & Co. , are making preparations to build a grain warehouse, we learn that the work is to commence at once. There have been but five deaths in Neapolis since the first blow was struck, in 1872, 3 were from disease and 2 were accidental, which speak volumes for our little City. Having decided to go West, I now offer my residence in Neapolis, Oh. , also my Land north of the Village, for sale or trade, at a Good Bargin. R. Moses. Thought these were interesting, and so I shared. I do remember some of these last names. Probably relitives. Boy I'm getting old.

I miss my cheap friends. I had a couple of friends that the only comunication was on this site and now thay are gone. None of them were hurting for money so I don't get how $12.00 would have killed them. I guess some people just want everything for free. Sorry for the rant I just miss my cheap friends.:sign **** happens:

Just saw on CNN that comedian/actor Dom Deluise has passed away at 75. I grew up with his comedy. He was one of a kind. I know ill miss him.

Is there such a thing out there? I sold my RoadSofa and got some pillow tops. I think I miss the backrest but don't want a fixed one. Is there a folding one out there?

I M new here been reading about VR going to look at a 85 later today 40.000+ miles. A couple of ?'s Owner says bike has couple of issues right fork seal leaking. Runs a little ruff when you start warms up, smooths out after it warms up. He said it seems to have a little miss. also air system dose not seem to work display shoes no reading. Fairing has a issue at mounting location. needs to be cleaned up price.. $1.000.00. any quick info any one could give B4 I go look at it -
looks like a big turnout for the st. charles, mo. rally, may 7th thru 9th. still got plenty of room. looks like this is going to be the biggest ever. i have a great one planned this year. we have people coming from all over the usa, and maybe gary n from canada, who was here last year. for all of you who want to kick off the riding season with a bang , don't miss this one. check it out in the sticky under meet and eats. all the motels and details are there. looking forward to seeing alot of old friends and new faces. bill

I was honored this morning to attend the retirement ceremony for Sargeant First Class Wilkinson, known to us here as SapperMedic. He leaves the U.S. Army after 25 years of service as a Combat Medic. Wilkie- thanks for your years of service and I hope you enjoy your riding season this year. I miss seeing your 1986 parked around the corner. Mocha is going to feel lonely when I get back to riding. JB

Just to say I miss them. If they had lived Patrick and Rebbeca would have been four today. On a lighter note , we took them ridding today. We miss you kids, Love you Daddy

Thinking of trading in my midnight venture on a 1300 tourer. Its an 02 with 21,000 mile. Longest ride i do is 200-400 miles maybe 2 or 3 times a year, but think i will miss the comfort of the venture. Thanks for any opinions

My navigator and I are planning a last minute get-a-way for next week. We want to go to Hot Springs Arkansas. We will probably stay for two nights before coming back home. Does anyone have any recomendations for a good, reasonable, safe place to stay? And...while in the area what would be a "DON'T MISS THIS" thing to see or do??? Any and all ideas are appreciated. Mike

Well after 13 years and a lot of blood sweat and tears I decided to put my '46 Chevy COE bike/car hauler up for sale and today it left for Edmonton Alberta. I'm going to miss that old truck but at this point I couldn't justify owning it anymore. I think it would have been easier to sell one of my kids though.
