  1. Jim,(Aimhigh)Happy Birthday to you! We need to get together and get those pegs worked out..I think you will love the positioning! AIMHIGH !!
  2. With the upcoming Holiday weekend coming up I would like everyone to take some time out and think about why we have this Holiday…. This Monday we honor those who paid the ultimate price to allow us to continue to do the things we all love to do in this country… My God bless those Men and Women who went before us…
  3. This is about my mom who passed away just these past hours. I know a lot of you here will express sympathy. It is one of the reasons I love this website. So, if you don't mind to much, I would like to pay tribute to my Mom!! Her name was Jimmie. What I know about her most was that she had 5 kids by the age of 22. Her and my father married early in life, she 14 my Dad 19. Once, thinking I was the reason they married so young, I checked the records. They did lie about her age but I was not the reason. They just hit it off. I remember being 15 and not being able to quite comprehend being married with a child at that age. At 52 I'm still in a little awe of her accomplishment. Mom didn't have an easy life. He mother was ½ Cherokee or so and could put the fear of God in someone. Ask my brother. He has always rebelled against authority figures except for his grandmother. She was the only person I ever saw to put fear into him. Anyhow, my grandmother would put my mom on top of moonshine and run it up to Chattanooga, TN from Alabama. She also hauled my mom off to California where she ran into trouble with the law. After that it was back to Alabama. Mom's husband, my dad, tended to blame her for most of our shortcomings and was highly critical of her most of their marriage. Yeah, he was a bastard that way but he was who he was and this is not about my Dad, who I dearly love to. Mom loved Elvis! She would tell me about her and her girlfriend jumping out of an old beat up truck to dance to his music, not caring about any traffic, as the hot asphalt kissed their bare feet. What can I say it was a different time. While I was in High School Elvis, toward the end of his career, appeared in a concert near us. I had grandiose plans of surprising her with tickets. But, alas, I was just a high school punk at the time. Still it would have been great. I remember returning home my first time on leave from the military. I found my mom asleep in bed without her teeth, and with dyed “white” hair. I thought I had aged her terrible. Nope just bad taste in hair color! Mom was crazy about her grand kids. Not sure how many there are. I know I haven't met all of them but I do know this if Mom loved you it was with everything she had. She was stingy with that love but oh man, if she gave it to you she gave everything. If she thought someone had done one of her loved ones wrong they were beneath contempt in her book, period. I grew apart from my mom over the years. With time the mom of my childhood, who was loved by all, was replaced by the mom who had faults, was more human, who wasn't loved by all. I rarely visited and would find reasons not to during our infrequent communications. God has his own way of communicating. He made it clear to me that I would never find love until I figured out how to love my mom. That I have done. I wasn't to late. I found out that I do love her! And I made sure she knew it. She made sure that I knew she loved me. Hell, I've always known that! I sit here crying as I write this I knowing I am blessed to have had such a mom!
  4. if youv'e seen these two please run for it!!!! love you guys.LOL

  8. I responded to an ad for a pup on Kijiji.ca asking for more info & pics and what the price is. Here's the response I got.... sure looks like a scam to me... Thanks for the mail and interest in the little puppies. I am having Just one puppy remaining. I also wish to inform you that, i am not giving it for sale but for adoption. Its name is Kenny and it is 11 weeks old. He is a male puppy. I love him so much but its unfortunate that, i can't even give him the love and affection i have in my heart for him. I am on a volunteer mission to Victoria British Cameroon together with the UN malaria committee ,in regards to the disease in pregnant women and children. I traveled up here together with Kenny and my 9 year old daughter. They won´t allow Kenny into the country for reason being that, pets are not allowed into the country from other countries and i have been given a maximum of 2 weeks to send him back to Canada. So that is the reason i have to find for him a home back in Canada where he will be showered with all that love and affection. Hope you won't mind me asking you some few questions: Do you really want to adopt this puppy? Do you have any experience with puppies? Do you have kids? Where are you located in Canada ? Will you consider him as part of your family in future if you take him? I am just being concerned about the type of home he will be going to so that is why i am curious to know. I love him so much and i want to make sure he goes to a family that will show him the affection he deserves. He is health guaranteed, and will come along with all his papers, diapers, dog blankets, play toys, crate and food menu. He is very playful and goes along with kids and other home pets. He loves to be held and cuddled and sometimes want all the attention for him self. . So if you can stand the chance of taking him home, you will only need to pay for his transportation fee. This fee will be paid directly to the airport providing his delivery because i did not pay for a round trip when i was coming down to Victoria British Cameroon. But i am sorry i first of all need to know if you are interested in the idea before i will know if we can proceed with the re-shipping arrangements. Also i will need answers to my questions. Waiting to read from you soon.

  13. Michigan - God's Country Aug 12 - Moved to Michigan. It is so beautiful here. The hills are so serene and beautiful. Can hardly wait to see snow cover them. God's country...I love it here. Oct 14 - Michigan is the most beautiful place. The leaves are turning all different colors, I love the shades of red and orange. I went for a ride through the beautiful country side and spotted some deer, they are so graceful certainly they are the most peaceful animals on earth. This must be paradise Michigan, I love it here. Nov 11 - Deer season will start soon. I can't imagine anyone wanting to kill such an elegant creature. The very symbol of peace and tranquillity. Hope it will snow soon...I love it here. Dec 2 - It snowed last night. Woke up to find everything blanketed in white, it looks like a post card. We went outside and cleaned the snow off of the steps and shoveled the driveway. We had a snowball fight, (I won) and when the snowplow came by, we had to shovel the driveway out again. What a beautiful place. Mother nature in perfect harmony... I love Michigan. Dec 12 - More snow last night. I love it. The snowplow did his trick again (that rascal). Winter wonderland... I love it here. Dec 19 - More snow last night. Couldn't get out of the driveway to get to work this time. I'm exhausted from shoveling. F-ing snowplow... Dec 22 - More of the white s____ fell last night. I've got blisters on my hands from all this f-ing shoveling. I think the snow plow man hides around the corner and waits till I'm done shoveling my driveway...a_ _ hole! Dec 25 - "White Christmas" my busted a$$! More friggin snow. If I ever get my hands on that son-of-a-b@#$% who drives that snow plow, I swear I'll castrate that dumb bastard. Don't know why they don't use more salt on the roads to melt this f@#$%^ ice. Dec 28 - More white s@#$ fell last night. Been inside since Christmas Day, except for shoveling out the driveway after "Snow Plow Harry" comes by, prick...g_ _-d_ _ _ car is behind a ton of snow. The weatherman said to expect another 10 inches of s@#$ tonight. Do you know how many shovels of snow 10 inches is? Jan 1 - Happy F@#$%^$ New Year. The weatherman was wrong (again.) We didn't get 10" last night, we got 34", stupid a_ _ weatherman anyway. At this rate it won't melt before the 4th of July. The snow plow got stuck up the road and the s@#$head had the balls to come to the door and asked to borrow my shovel. After I told him I've broken 6 shovels already, shoveling all the sh@# he pushed into my driveway, I broke the last one over his f@#$%$ head. Jan 4 - Finally got out of the house today. Went to the store to get food, on the way back a g@#d@#$ deer ran in front of me. I hit the bastard and tore my car all to hell. Did $3,000 in damages. Those f@#$%^$ beasts should be killed. Wish the hunters had killed all of them last November. May 3 - Took the car to the garage in town. Would you believe the thing rotted out from all the f@#$%^$ salt they keep dumping all over the road. Car looks like a piece of s@#$. May 10 - Moved back to Virginia, I can't imagine why anyone in their right f@#$%^$ mind would ever want to live in this g@#-forsaken place called Michigan. Please note, although no boardcode and smiley buttons are shown, they are still useable
  14. I have a crazy desire to purchase a Vintage Travel Trailer... like from pre 1960 or so. I have seen some pretty reasonable and some not so resonable. I was wondring if any one on here has any leads to one. Hummingbird has turned me on to the trail of one in or near Ohio. I just love the look of those old trailers and the beatiful wood work in them. Let me know if you have a lead on something in your neck of the woods. Thanks Much! Steve aka Bubber
  15. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KG3O6UBLGbA]YouTube - It's a Jolly Holi-dog Celebration![/ame] Hope the video comes through as I'm computer illiterate. Thought those of you who love dogs might enjoy this!
  16. Grandma is eighty-eight years old and still drives her own car. She writes: Dear daughter, The other day I went up to our local Christian book store and saw a 'Honk if you love Jesus' bumper sticker .. I was feeling particularly sassy that day because I had just come from a thrilling choir performance, followed by a thunderous prayer meeting. So, I bought the sticker and put it on my bumper. Boy, am I glad I did; what an uplifting experience that followed. I was stopped at a red light at a busy intersection, just lost in thought about the Lord and how good he is, and I didn't notice that the light had changed. It is a good thing someone else loves Jesus because if he hadn't honked, I'd never have noticed. I found that lots of people love Jesus! While I was sitting there, the guy behind started honking like crazy, and then he leaned out of his window and screamed, 'For the love of God!' 'Go! Go! Go! Jesus Christ, GO!' What an exuberant cheerleader he was for Jesus! Everyone started honking! I just leaned out my window and started waving and smiling at all those loving people. I even honked my horn a few times to share in the love! There must have been a man from Florida back there because I heard him yelling something about a sunny beach. I saw another guy waving in a funny way with only his middle finger stuck up in the air. I asked my young teenage grandson in the back seat what that meant. He said it was a Hawaiian good luck sign. Well, I have never met anyone from Hawaii , so I leaned out the window and gave him the good luck sign right back. My grandson burst out laughing. Why even he was enjoying this religious experience!! A couple of the people were so caught up in the joy of the moment that they got out of their cars and started walking towards me. I bet they wanted to pray or ask what church I attended, but this is when I noticed the light had changed. So, grinning, I waved at all my brothers and sisters, and drove on through the intersection. I noticed that I was the only car that got through the intersection before the light changed again and felt kind of sad that I had to leave them after all the love we had shared. So I slowed the car down, leaned out the window and gave them all the Hawaiian good luck sign one last time as I drove away. Praise the Lord for such wonderful folks!! Will write again soon, Love, Grandma

  18. THE PERFECT HUSBAND Several men are in the locker room of a golf club. A cellular phone on a bench rings and a man engages the hands-free speaker function and begins to talk. Everyone else in the room stops to listen. MAN: "Hello" WOMAN: "Hi Honey, it's me. Are you at the club?" MAN: "Yes." WOMAN: "I was shopping and found this beautiful leather coat. It's only $2,000; is it OK if I buy it?" MAN: "Sure, go ahead if you like it that much." WOMAN: "I also stopped by the Lexus dealership and looked at all the new models. I saw one I really liked." MAN: "How much?" WOMAN: "$90,000." MAN: "OK, but for that price I want it with all the options." WOMAN: "Great! Oh, and one more thing... I was just talking to Janie and found out that the house I wanted last year is back on the market. They're asking $980,000 for it." MAN: "Well, then go ahead and make an offer of $900,000. They'll probably take it. If not, we can go the extra eighty-thousand if it's what you really want." WOMAN: "OK. I'll see you later! I love you so much!" MAN: "Bye! I love you, too." The man hangs up. The other men in the locker room are staring at him in astonishment, mouths wide open. He turns and asks, "Anyone know who's phone this is?"

  23. wife and i took a ride Saturday from Randleman NC to Lynchburg Va. - what has made longer distance rides more pleasurable is the Hoppe Fairing, Utopia backrest, gel pad (walmart), Butler seat mods, tour pack w/ dual padded backrest and highway pegs. i used to get only about 50 miles before my butt was unhappy but can get 100 miles before discomfort begins. i love the cruise and use it constantly. hopefully my next addition to our riding experience will be a communication set for wife and i - it would be nice to chat while riding thru the country. my 07 RSTD rocks, i've had it over two years and put approx. 18K on it, mostly two up. if i had to do it over i would have purcahse the venture but i am happy with my ride !! just wanted to share some happiness. buz
