  1. Accept the fact that some days you're the pigeon, and some days you're the statue! Always keep your words soft and sweet, just in case you have to eat them. Always read stuff that will make you look good if you die in the middle of it. Drive carefully... It's not only cars that can be recalled by their Maker.. If you can't be kind, at least have the decency to be vague If you lend someone $20 and never see that person again, it was probably worth it.. It may be that your sole purpose in life is simply to serve as a warning to others. Never buy a car you can't push. Never put both feet in your mouth at the same time, because then you won't have a leg to stand on. Nobody cares if you can't dance well. Just get up and dance. (well, I don’t know about this one!) Since it's the early worm that gets eaten by the bird, sleep late. The second mouse gets the cheese. When everything's coming your way, you're in the wrong lane. Birthdays are good for you. The more you have, the longer you live. You may be only one person in the world, but you may also be the world to one person. Some mistakes are too much fun to make only once. We could learn a lot from crayons. Some are sharp, some are pretty and some are dull. Some have weird names and all are different colors, but they all have to live in the same box. A truly happy person is one who can enjoy the scenery on a detour. (I love our detours in the country!) Have an awesome day and know that someone thought about you today. It was me, your friend! Save the earth..... It's the only planet with chocolate! :cool10:
  2. Hope everyone a nice and safe 4th of July. The birthday of the land of the free. Thanks to all whom help to preserve this wonderful country we live in. Glad/proud to be an AMERICAN..... :325::325::325::325::325: Fuzzy

If one of you had installed a (shark fin antenna), I will really appreciate to receive your feed back and the specification of your new antenna. I live in a region where the signal is very poor. Thank you for your reply !

  11. I travel to work day in and day on my 05RSTD! I'm only grounded during ice on the road otherwise rain, snow, or heat doesn't matter I'm riding. Like my old Sergeant use to say "There is no such thing as a rusty Ranger!" Just curious on who also rides all year and how far north do you live? The Maine picture was where I lived as a kid in Loring AFB, Maine. Actually did not ride then.
  12. An Obituary printed in the London Times Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense, who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as: - Knowing when to come in out of the rain; - Why the early bird gets the worm; - Life isn't always fair; - and maybe it was my fault. Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge). His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouthwash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition. Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion. Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust, by his wife, Discretion, by his daughter, Responsibility, and by his son, Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights I Want It Now Someone Else Is To Blame I'm A Victim Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing?
  13. OK Maybe I am asking to much but my wife and I are planning a trip to Florida towards the end of January. We are going to haul our bike down in the pickup until it gets warm enough to ride and I was wondering if any of you in the Georgia/N Florida area might live someplace with room to park my old pickup in your field or something for a week while we ride around Florida. Anyway just a thought. Rick
  14. hello im realy having a hard time with this. i just found out my neighbor who got married a few months ago. and has been living here next door for over a year has married a child molster. he beat and sexualy abused a 8 year old. his niece. he served just 3 years for this. but must register for life? my problem is i baby sit a 13 year old great niece and well she,s starting to fill out. i told her mom my niece about this and her grandma my sister. well it turns out she can no longer come here. and it breaks my heart. as she likes to walk along the railroad tracks and along the river with me. i know in a few years she will be grown up and do thing,s most teens do and that wont include her great uncle to much. i tould my landlord i been here going on 3 years and i dont think i should have to live with the fact that i now have to give up a part of my life. and she said. he did his time i cant refuse him or her the right to a place to live? and what he did just makes me want to punch the **** out of him. well i guess i ranted enough. thanks for letting me get this off my chest oldgoat

  16. Does anyone here on the Darkside live in PA? If so, how do you get your bikes inspected with the CT on? None of the locals dealers/shops (9 in total) will inspect it with a CT on. I live in south central PA, and would be willing to travel quite a distance to get someone who will inspect it. I'm just not willing to commit to coming over to the Darkside until I can find a shop that will pass it come inpsection time. Thanks, Don from Harrisburg, PA

  19. Anyone have experience with this fairing for a 2006 RSTD? It is pricy, but looks great and having a sound system would be a plus. I would like to see one on a bike before I purchase. I live in the Cincinnati, Oh area and do not mind taking a ride to see one within a reasonable distance. Thanks

  23. Well it looks like my first trip to Sturgis is a GO! Since my wife doesnt ride, I figured it is my duty to be an obediant husband and ASK for permission to go. Since I have all my work done she has given me the go ahead. Imagine that, 44 years old, around motorcycles most of my life, and LIVE in South Dakota, and it is my first trip out to Sturgis. Even though I live in SD it will still be a 4 1/2 hr drive. Have the trailer packed and ready, but it looks like monday before i head out. CANT WAIT!!!!

  25. Hello there in America. First i want to introduce myself. I'm from Belgium, work in the military and my hobbies are enduro (KTM EXC 300) and my RSV 2001. I own one of the probably 80 RSV's here in my country. After 2001 the RSV was no more imported in Belgium. Now my problem! When i put on my audio radio, CD or cassette it works fine. But after 10' everything begins to live its own live! The radio begins to peep and on the cover of the remote i get all the abbreviations (sp, hs, loud,...). If the cd is playing it constantly skips to another song and the cassette is continiously turning from one side to the other. While reading these forum i've used the magicly dielectric grease but it won't help:crying: I suppose that my problem has began while i was starting up my flat battery with a batterycharger? Does someone oversea can help me? Because here in my country the Yamahadealers have no experience. Thanks for reading my message:thumbsup2:
