I'm working on a project to resurrect an 1987 Virago for a friend. I was looking for some tech infomation about carbs and other things. Does anyone know of a Virago forum or a source for tech info on this bike?

So I need some info on changing the speakers on my 03 RSV I was looking at the Plok Audio db401 any info on the speaker and install please post. How much better will they sound than stock and are any better? Thanks

I need some info from a real savvy computer person as my knowledge of the inner working of a PC are rather limited. Heres the situation: my original hard drive © was almost out of space. Its from a 2000 Dell PC with 1 G of ram (2 512 sticks), 4500 model I think with an 18.62 gb hard drive. A while ago my son-in-law installed a 233gb hard drive (E) in series with C drive, however I was never able to move stuff back and forth. I tried moving a large music library over from C to E but ended up losing the whole file. What I would like to do if its possible is to transfer my whole C drive contents over to the E drive, then remove the C drive and install the E drive back into the C connection, eliminating having two hard drives completely. Local PC store wants over 100 bucks to do this. Any suggestions? My music file has over 2000 songs so using a zip drive may not work. Keep it at the 5th grade level and ill be fine...LOL:think:

hey guys, I'm having a problem of something running the batt. down over a period of 2-3 days if I don't start the bike or put in on a batt. maintainer. I have run it down to one of the blade type fuses in the fuse box that is located to the right front of the batt. location. It is a 15 amp fuse, but I can't find any info as to what circuit that fuse controls. It never blows the fuse, just runs the batt. down. If anyone knows what circuit that fuse controls, I could sure use the info. Thanks in advance. Don H .

When a new California rider fills out the information on his... or her... info page it would great if they posted their home town. California is so long it's the equivalent of the distence between Jacksonville FL to NY City. Almost the entire eastern seaboard. Can you imagine what it would be like to put together a Meet'n'Eat if everyone on the east coast were lumped together into one catagory?? So if you're from Califirnia, how about adding your home town to your page. This goes for the old Ca members too.... Thanks.

Hello Folks, As some of you know my good friend and neighbor passed away last Saturday. We have gotten the family past the funeral and now I am diving into the reason I have decided to stay in Michigan for a few extra weeks. Ron had his H/D in the garage, it's a '79 FLH Electra Glide, and I am getting it in a sellable condition for his widow. What I need is some info or if any of you members out there that know where I might find some tech info/Manuals so I can service this bike properly and actually try to get it running. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi guys. Weird thing started happening today. Rolling down the road, the warning light pops on and the dash goes through it's start up routine. It doesn't interupt the motor running at all but it'll kill the cruise if it's on. Happens every 50-75 miles with more and more recurring frequency. Any one have any info on this? Thanks! A few weeks ago while in S`port, LA. at a freinds house ( on our way to Lowells) our freinds next door neighber had a MM parked in his Garage.. I looked to see if he was out side or in the garage, but no go... I didn`t want to go knock on his door, any way, I do have his name, but just wanted to see if it is a member of the site. Our freind was going to give him all of the VRO info and mine... So is it any one here???? K

Just wanted to thank everyone on here and for all the great information, picked up some blue leds (figured the black pearl needed some ocean) so I spent today tearing her down and running wires all over the place lolol it was fun and all this great info is so worth the 12 bucks!! took some crappy garage picks wanted to take a spin but raning hard tonight but here they are anyways.... :banana:

Ok folks I'm officially a triker now. Today was the day I finished up this long project. Before I describe what I've done I'd like to thank JerryM, Bikenut, and whom ever else I've gleaned info from on trikes. Thanks guys for the info and insight. Second I'd like to thank Tri-Wing from who I bought my trike kit. They are imo a first class company who've answered many of my questions before and after the sale. I also had the chance to see what their customer service was like when I happened to have a leaking air bag. Darlene promptly took matters in hand to resolve the issue. Here's a quick run down on the project. First on the agenda was to remove damaged parts and determine what had to be replaced from my accident back in August. Then it was time to order replacement parts as well as make the decision to convert the ride to a three wheeler. From there it was ordering parts. Over a period of time parts came in so I dived into this project installing the trike frame and preparing the body to my liking. Besides the trike install I also had the trees raked by Steer-Rite, added in a set of Sonic fork springs, and mounted up a set of Flanders pullbacks along with the longer brake & throttle cables. Attached below are a few pics as the project progressed. Enjoy. Any one with questions I'll be happy to pass along whatever knowledge I gain doing this project. I know this isn't M/C related, but.... A Co-worker is looking at a little Mazda 3 (car) and neither of us know ANYTHING about Mazdas - she just likes the looks. Have any of you had any experiences good or bad, with the newer ones? I know they used to have the Rotary engines, but this one has a 4 cylinder. She is looking at the Mazda or the Toyota Corolla. Any info would be appreciated. craigr

Hey Guys and gals, I'm back with some 1st Gen. questions. I am wanting to change the oil and filter on my brothers (BearForce1) 88 Venture Royale. What if any differences is there between a first gen and a second gen.? Same tools, filter, fairing removal? If there is a link, that would be great (I couldn't find one). I have done a 2nd gen a few times in the past. Next question, he gets a horrible "wobble" when he takes his hands off the handlebars. Is there a link for tightening the head bolt or replacing the bearings? Any info on these two items would be great! -
Looking for clamps/gaskets for the aftermarket Mufflers on my 84 XVZ12. Have only owned the bike a month so I don't really know which pipes are on it Hope my avatar picture shows enough for someone to help with info. I think Babbits has them but not sure. Help please if you can. I would like to replace these with OEM if possible. Any thoughts comments on distributors of those if any Thanks Marty

My son and daughter-in-law live in Orlando, but are looking at buying a house in the Apopka area. It needs some minor sprucing up, paint, etc., and has a separate apartment/in-laws qtrs. The question I have is around zoning regs. It has a large 3-car carport/shed that is enclosed on 3 sides, and they would like to enclose that into a garage, and add a screened patio to the rear of the house if they buy it. Would a permit be required for this project? I and one of my electrician riding buds and our wives would come down and do the work for them for the use the apt. I've done some surfing for zoning regs, but haven't found much info yet. Any help with this is appreciated.

Info on making spare key

Went to a locksmith Friday and had a spare key made. He gave me some info that I didn't find on here. If its already been posted, sorry. On your original key there is a number. He said to write it down on the registration and on a piece of paper in your wallet. He told me that any good locksmith can cut you a key using that number if you happen to lose your key and need one in a emergancy. I know that most of us carry a hidden key, but I thought this info was good to know. I guess you really do learn something everyday. -
Just wondering if anyone is going to Sturgis, and who is or knows someone who is interested in my '83 that I have for sale. If they would be interested in swinging by my place so that they could take a look at my bike and then pass that info along to any interested parties.
