  1. Has anyone here had their RSV repainted just for the heck of it? I've never cared much for the solid white but I couldn't pass up the deal I got on it. I was seriously considering selling the 04 and buying an 08 just for the color but the 08 looks just like the 04, with the color difference of course. Anyone ever do this, were you happy with the change and was it overly expensive?
  2. Just wanted to wish all a HAPPY THANKSGIVING from Iraq...........

  4. With Thanksgiving and the Holiday's approaching I wanted to wish everyone a safe and Happy Thanksgiving Day and weekend. With changes swirling around us it's tempting to think the swirl is the one sucking us down the drain and pulling us down the pipes.. but maybe it's the wind taking us higher to a better year and greater opportunities! Either way I'm thankful for many things, least of not are the friends on this forum that have worked so hard to have a successful year. So.. Thanks to all. Bill & Family
  5. Got home around midnight last night. Good to be home again. I tell you, I still travel a lot but I don't fly that much and am REALLY happy about that. The airports are just WAY to busy now days.

  7. OK !, You've heard this before but, I was making a delivery in Metamora, MI today around lunch time and you guess it a venture pulled up sooo I had to go talk to the driver. The man is 82 years old and had got this beautiful 88 Venture from a friend who was unable to ride anymore, I ran outside for a quick look and it was sporting a new set of Avon Venoms. I had to ask why Avons and he told me he had them on his other bike at home and was really happy with them ( Kawasaki Nomad ) and he proceeded to tell me he rebuilt the front end new seals Progressive springs and synced the carbs ect. I told him about this site and who knows we just might see him on here. How Cool, Gary

    Seats

Webbike World has just put up a pretty good page on the various seats available. I'm happy with my Corbin but some of it is still interesting. http://www.webbikeworld.com/motorcycle-seat/motorcycle-seats.htm

  10. A very nice article in the Windsor paper http://www.canada.com/windsorstar/story.html?id=ae861bef-dce1-4e45-9df0-f794cdb2fb5d&k=60275 I am happy to belong to this group. Brad
  11. Folks, I'm almost out of small VentureRider patches. I need to get some new ones ordered but wanted to check with you first. Those of you who have purchased the patches, were you happy with them? Is our LOGO still OK or are you ready for something different? As always, your opinions are important.
  12. As some of you are aware, my wife had surgery yesterday and I am happy to report that all went well. First it was a bit of a struggle just finding a room. She had to stay in the recovery room a while longer than planned and would not let me visit her. Then they were suppose to get me on the way by the waiting room but they did not, and told my wife that I went home. She was ticked that I had left but in fact I was not. Finally I made it to her room, to find out she is in a recently converted recovery room that was made into a ward. (our coverage is for a Private but there is none available nor a semi private available). This room has no phone hook-ups, or TV's, so add this to the frustrations. Anyway it was a struggle at first, but I am happy to say she is recovering much better. Started out slow, and each time I left and came back she was better. Hoping that she can come home tomorrow, but Doctor says depends on if she can do the things on his short list. When I went back tonight after supper with the girls it was a major improvement. Doctor said all is well and she should be back at work in 8 weeks. I feel she is a very strong and brave women and I am very happy to report all things went well, now we have to wait out the healing. For those who were aware and sent me a PM (or Email) thank-you very much, it is appreciated. Brad
  13. Just wanted to say I am one HAPPY camper...Just installed a new set of Dunlop 404's on my 83, it's like it is a completly different bike. The handling is awsome, it is soooo much fun to ride. The wife gave permission to "upgrade" to a newer bike, we are looking at either a Valkyrie Interstate or a Yamaha Royal Star Venture, price will probably determine what I buy. That being said, I don't want to get rid of my 83 royal.
  14. Well i must say thanks to all for the tips and to this site for all the good info. I have saved a chunk of money by not having to go to the stealer for repairs besides "they dont work on old bikes like mine". So i have changed all the fluids and Im going to do some minor repairs on the plastic, install new seals and progressive springs just as soon as they arrive next week. With the info on this site it should be a piece of cake. After that me and some of the guys are riding to the Ozarks for a little fun. Everybody at work likes my bike and says they wish they had a cb and a radio and all that trunk space. Im happy because i told the wife i wanted a bike ( havent had a bike since i sold the cb 900 12 years ago) but it had to have a windshield and a good back seat so the both of us could ride easy. Well i must say momma is very happy with the rear seat and the view. She says she likes to ride on THIS motorcycle. So i guess were keepin it.
  15. Some of my riding buddies were complaining that they couldn't see my turn signals during daytime riding. They said they were just to dim. So, I dug out some dual-intensity LED lights that I had bought for another project (they are really bright...some of the best I found at any price), made some brackets to mount them on my saddlebag rails, and have them wired as running and turn signal lights. I'm happy about how they turned out. Now everyone behind me can actually see what I'm doing. give me a few minutes and I'll have the pix uploaded to my gallery.

    Motophoria Riding Jacket

I just ordered a Motophoria Infiltrator jacket from http://www.motogearoutlet.com/ I saw it many places for $269 and I bought it for $79. I feel it was quite a steal. Does anyone have any experience with it? As far as the site goes, they seem to have some great deals - it seems they only take PayPal, though. Happy Thanksgiving, all!
