Riderduke came down for a little "wheel" work with us this weekend! :cool10:Just a few pics of Sleeperhawk "teaching" Riderduke how to ungrease and grease! Humm, I think the guys got more on them than on the bike! Thankfully, I did not have my camera when the garage monster (cousin to the pond monster) showed up ! Bear30, you would have been proud of Riderduke!:whistling: Took the bike out for a short ride to check things out and everything was AOKAY! Good job guys! Fun time!!!

Hello my friends another question about tourpack mounting, I am wanting to maintain the quick release system, I do not want to butcher up my oem passenger backrest. So what alternatives are there? I will be mounting a Roadking tour pack, if I can figure this out. If you are one of the guys who has already figured this out and is selling please let me know ASAP so I can get the Tourpack ordered. Norr3mi@aol.com 309-620-2855 thanks everyone/.

I know that new bearings on big machinery can get a bit hot, sometimes to the point of boiling the grease, until they wear in. Just wondered about smaller ones, like say car or m/c wheel bearings? My guess is they do to some extent & I bet some of you guys will know for sure. Tony.

Jeff got this yesterday. It'll be easier then riding the bicycle he has on the gravel over there. It's a Honda Knock off 125. He's happy needs a bit of work, but he'll get it fixed. He even has it already sold when he leaves. He's gonna teach one of the guys how to ride over there. Who knows maybe the guy will like riding enough and join the site when he gets home. So he'll be getting some riding over there. Plus the temps are already in the 80s where he's at. Margaret

Guest posted a topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
doesn't need to be rebuilt, i just bought the kit. The one i had needed the screws drilled out, as the heads were broken off. I snapped a drill bit off in the hole it's leaking with only one screw, so i was hoping someone might have one for cheap they would be willing to part with? last thing i need to get on the road Edit: Rocket called me and reminded me that it might be useful for you guys to know WHICH one i need! i need the brake master for the front, for a MK 2 (Electric AntidiveThanks Rocket! (i'm sorry, i don't know your first name I feel bad since you know mine!) -

Well.I had a load going to Breslau,Ont. It was supposed to deliver on Thursday, but had to move it up to Wednesday. Coming thru Michigan,I lost a injector on the motor. The load had to get there so I ran it on 5 cylinders per the bosses orders.. I was sweating it going over the Blue Water Bridge because the motor was missing badly and vibrating real bad. I got to Waterloo Regional Airport and met Hal there.. I got unloaded and parked the truck and went and had dinner with Hal,Gayle and Rhonda. Very cool.It was great seeing you guys again... A venture M&E with a 18 wheeler and 3 cages.. I stopped in Port Huron on the way back and had the oil changed and limped her back to the terminal...Hopefully they will have it done on Monday.

Hey guys. I'm curious as to wether or not this back rest will fit my bike. It's an 83 Venture. I know this ad says 86 to 93 but I know a lot of these parts are interchangable. Thanks guys. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/YAMAHA-VENTURE-ROYALE-CHROME-DRIVERS-BACK-REST_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem45f156b184QQitemZ300401734020QQptZMotorcyclesQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories

Greetings and happy new year everybody. Been away for quite some time but am over the hill here at my work in Norway and intend to visit the site more frequently. Sadly I wont be able to show up at Freebirds Maintenance day this year but it is on my "to do list" for the year 2011. And since I am not coming then there is this great oppurtunity to do some work on my USA based bike. Had a talk with Earl (Skydoc1) the other night and lured him into doing some engine work on my bike. Want to swap the cams and the measly 28mm carbs for V-Max cams and the 32mm Venture carbs. Parts are in general easy to get except for the Venture carbs. So I was wondering if any of you guys and girls would know of a set lying around in someones garage that would be available. Payment through PayPal or by transferring into account. Or any othe rpreferred payment method by sellers choice. Last but not least - thanks for last summer guys. It was simply unbelievable and I had the time of my life. Still getting nightmares though of BigTom approaching me in womans underwear with a funny look on his face - but my shrink is working on it. All the best from freezing Norway Jonas

Just watching TV news and, New Orliens, Atlanta even Florida dealing with sub zero temp's. For us "Northerners" it's just normal, but for you guys must be brutal. Dont forget umbrela for faling lizards from trees.

Any of you ladies doing one of the two willing to share how YOUNG you are? What you ride? Just didn't want your crowd to be left out or for you to think of me as hung up as ONE OF THOSE GUYS! Saddly, I DONT have a Queen Seat or UP rider buddy that looks much better then me (or even one that looks worse). Enjoy! JackZ

I've spent the last few days searching the forums for the tci problems - sure enough I finally got in and found the TCI under the battery box. I removed it through the right side(after removing the trim/screen below the upper fairing) and it had a teaspoon of water in it! Who is Mr Yamahas' engineer? I took the lid off and let it dry out for a day, brought the connectors up to the air cleaner lid, plugged the tci back in and it fired right up! Sweet! Now, you guys that have done this "relocation", What do I have to trim to get the "false gas tank" to fit back on? Seems like the TCI is holding it up 1/2 - 3/4 of an inch.
