I told everyone that I would give update to an earlier thread that I posted. So here it is; Checked her again - running 44 mile per gallon average. Riding from work and back and a couple evening and Sunday after church rides. Syncing the carbs did it, I am really tickled with my RSTD. I am very critical when I check gas mileage. Go back to same pump and park same way and fill to same level and around same time of day. This evening held 3.4 gallon of regular unleaded at 150 miles, thus another 44.1 mpg. Only thing that worries me now is the threads that I have read concerning no grease in the the rear ends/hub of these bikes, and to grease every time the rear wheel is removed ??? I have not heard any rear end/hub noises thus far, and hope it stays that way. But I only have 1,500 miles on it anyway. Hey in another 5,000 to 8,000 or so, I will probably get around 46/48 mile per gallon. :cool10:Love this forum, appreciate everyones feed back on my problem after new pipes and K&N air filters. *FIXED PROBLEM*

Anyone know what the fuel prices are like on I80 thru Nevada?? I've decided to cage it to my Grandson's wedding in Id. in two weeks and wonder whether it would be better to wait and tank up in Nevada or go ahead and top the tank off here in Sacramento????? Locally a gallon of reg. goes for $4.50. Also, do they require ethanol in Nevada fuel?? Ya can tell I haven't been up there in a while...

On my way home from Pittsburgh today, I happened to pass by a Victory dealer in Medina, OH. Since I have never seen the new Vision in person, I stopped in to take a look. Well...they didn't have one so that was a waste. What they did have though was 3 of the new Piaggio MP-3 scooters. I don't know that I would ever want one but they sure look cool and I would like to ride one. OH...and this crazy thing has a 15 gallon gas tank. http://www.piaggiousa.com/

Hi, I would like to bring to your attention that in Canada the gas is sold by the liter and the RSV takes 22 liters. To give an example I took a ride with a full tank of gas,and when we pulled in for gas I had put on 284km, the bike took 17 liters which means I had 5 liters left with no reserve light showing yet. I figure that I got 50 miles per Canadian gallon or 6 liters per 100 km.To make it a bit easier I divided 284 km by 17 lts =16.70 is the kilometer liter that I averaged.I grew up with miles & gallons but the government changed things and now we have metric measurements. I am going to give this site to anyone who is going to travel to Canada and you will see how to convert the US gallon to the Canadian or UK " imperial gallon etc.or liters I hope this will help my USA friends. > mobile ps: with the above calculation the RSV should get 350 km on a full tank ! NOTE: It was brought to my attention that the link provided here by Mobile was no longer valid. Here is another that should give you the needed information. http://www.fuelcalculator.info/
