My 16 YOA son bought himself a bike! We found a 1983 Honda CM250 Custom on Craig's List in Mitchell, SD. Went to look at it last night. It is in very good shape. Odometer reads only 3350 miles. It sure seems like it could be original. Very few nicks and dings. Everything works and it all feels tight. Too much wind around here to ride it home 70 miles but she fit in the pickup easily. He is signed up for the MSF course to be held here in Madison on July 10 & 11. I think this will be a great starter bike for him and it only cost hiim $500.00!!!!!!!!! I know this may be too late to be asking, but does anybody know anything about this bike? We are looking forward to getting out to ride together, even if only to DQ! Dave

Hi all: What is the specific number of the Elite 3 rear tire that should be used on the 2007 Venture. Looking on line there appears to be only one (MV85HB15). Is that the one? I am running Avons Venoms at present and I know when I ordered it I had to specify which model as there was more than one that would fit Thanks for the help. JR

Does anyone know what chrome (plastic/ABS?) fender tips would fit my '83 Venture front fender? What more current bike model fender would be comparable in size, curvature, etc.? I need to cover up some paint damage near the tip from a recent paint exchange with a girl's car (I wished she would have looked, & I was more careful that time). Thanks, Doug

My new to me 2009 RSV has Kuryakin iso grips. When the previous owner installed them he didn't put the original or any replacement handlebar weights back on. Does anyone have a set that they are no longer using? I understand that it's necessary to modify the isogrips a bit (thanks Al) to get them to fit. Thanks

Rick, I expected alot when I sent you my seats because of all that I've read on here. I've got to say that you more than met the expectations. I sat on it and was really surprised at how good the fit was. I can't wait to try it out on the way up to Ohio. Job well done....... Any of you that are unsure of this mod....take my word for it, that was money well spent.

I have a couple of questions. First I've never removed my exhaust pipes. I want to take them off to clean things behind them. Will I need to replace the gaskets if I do? Second, I have been considering putting hardbags on my bike. I saw a 99 RSTD with Road King bags that looked great. My problem is that I don't have 4 into 2 pipes and the bags won't fit with 4 pipes. Do any of the newer RSTD 4 into 2 pipes fit my 96?

Looking at adding a fairing to my 05 RSTD. Can get a fairing for a Road King pretty reasonable, but wondering how much modifications its going to take to get it to fit? Any other economical ways to add a fairing? Will probably look to re-use the hardware on the stock windshield to keep it as a quick disconnect fairing.

I know this isn't the place to start this, but I'm casting the widest net for help. Decided to change fluid and added a speed bleeder to make the job easier. Every thing was going fine, nice new fluid flowing, and went to close the bleeder - and it broke off . Took slave cylinder out, drilled out and re-tapped so stock bleeder would fit. Now it won't hold pressure/close. Did I drill too deep? Looks like I'll need a new/used cylinder, unless the geniuses here have a solution. Any ideas???

Is there a difference between the 85/86, and 87 trunk? I found a light bar for the 85/86, but was told it would not fit the 87. Anyone know the difference?

I was checking to see if someone can help me. The first set of pictures is of my highway pegs bracket. I am wanting to know if anyone can tell me what they are made out of and if there is a way for me to cold weld them back together. I don't know if something like J-B weld will hold them. I really hate to buy a new set when all I need is this one piece. The second picture can somebody please tell me where on the bike these go. The last set can somebody tell me what they fit. I bought them off Ebay because I thought they would fit my bike. They have don't have the flap to make them open like a door. They have a lever in place of a lock and then 2 pegs sticking out on the other side. I don't know if they fit something with the radio or not. They don't fit my bike and i would be willing to trade them or sell them. I am looking for a set for the left side I don't have a radio just the pocket.

well im in need of a new jacket and helmet. i want to be seen.as much as possible. im thinking of a white helmet but not sure of the jacket. i want to go with a look that almost makes me look like a motorcyle cop. and be legal. i have a shoie helmet but its over 9 years old. and fell and hit the bedroom floor from a height of about 5 feet. so i just dont trust it no more. as for a jacket somone thought they need mine and helped them selfs to a old black one i had from like 10 years ago. im sure if i look at the local pawn stores it would turn up there. due to good food it wouldnt fit now anyways. so if any one has a jacket and helmet they would be willing to sell let me know. im a big guy weight wise 245 lbs size 46 waist. not sure of my chest size. ii wear 2 xl t shirts if that helps. my helmet size is xl. any ideas where to look for this gear?

I'm curious, and wonder if any of you have any knowledge on the matter. this 87 blonde is mechanically very sound, but i'm finding more and more bodywork that is cracked, specifically on the right hand side. i think it went down on that side, or may hve dropped from a standstill. it's all cracking to bits, and i'm not sure what years will fit? would bodywork from a mk1 fit a mk2? also, i'm considering going over the inside of all the larger plastic pieces with fiberglass to strengthen it. anyone done that?
