  1. So far this new year is not starting out to well, so hope it gets better soon. Two days ago went to a HalRSV99 for a bon fire and and ended up burning my fingers on my boot. Melted the bottoms a little and the rest was a dumb move. Yesterday we had to put Sunny our Cat down as he had gotten real sick and the medication was not working. This was very upseting for the family. Been Snowing since late last night a there is 4" of snow on the ground, so far. last year Naugh-T and I went for a ride on new years day. Pic #1 Naugh-T, Bricks wife Rhonda, and a SCRC's Member Char. Pic #2 HalRSV99, his wife Gayle, Fearful 1st. officer SCRC270 (2 Looney) Pic #3 Brick and Hal the cook (making Hot dogs ona bun in pie irons, this time he did not forget the bread). Last two pis of Sunny (the boss) over Christmas. One with Naugh-T's mother and the other with Ben. So here's hoping it gets better and of course all the best in 08 to you all. PS. Went to see GaryN on the 30th and he is doing great. Hopes to be home in a few weeks. Brad, Naugh-T and Family.
  2. Been watching; listening so this is what I am thinking of doing: Add a stator from Buckeye performance which will increase output from 30 to 45 amps. Enables heated grips etc. $239. Rivco air horns $142. Baron nasty boy 4-2-4 pipes $395.95. Minis scalloped family jewels $42.95. Torque master $39.95. What do you think? Need feed back tonight or early tomorrow. Ta. Kiwi Ian.
  3. I just wanted to wish all of you a Happy and Merry Christmas. Haven't posted much on here lately, but I HAVE been checking in a few times a day and I think about all of my friends here often. Been busy as heck with stuff going on (all good stuff) We're planning what has become our traditional quiet day at home with the family, our folks, the kids, my son's brand new fiancee and her family. Seems that since we've started doing this, I enjoy Christmas so much better. Hope the day is special for all of you too. Vin

  10. For those that were with us last year, you may recall that we sent packages to our members and members family members who were in harms way last year. Was wondering if anyone would be interested in doing the same thing this year. I thing we expanded it a bit last year and sent packages to friends and neighbours who were over there. This year I would suggest keeping it to our members and the members family members. Would also suggest that if anyone wants to make a donation to this effort, that we keep the donations to 10-15$. Anyway....... Just thought I would run this up the flag pole to see how many would salute it.
  11. Nothing about motorcycling. Just wondered how many have an artificial Christmas tree or a real tree. Do you have a special tradition your family has this time of year. Peggy:wow:
  12. Anyone here ever go to Americade? We're thinking about going this coming year. Ride the BRP and Skyline drive, up to Americade, visit a friend in Vermont and then back in NY to visit family there. Got the Americade times in the mail yesterday and now I'm psyched up and starting to make plans. Any recomendations on where to stay?-Jack

  14. The biker...kinda long, but read it all please!!! I saw you, hug your purse closer to you in the grocery store line. But, you didn't see me, put an extra $10.00 in the collection plate last Sunday. I saw you, pull your child closer when we passed each other on the sidewalk. But, you didn't see me, playing Santa at the local mall. I saw you, change your mind about going into the restaurant. But, you didn't see me, attending a meeting to raise more money for the hurricane relief. I saw you, roll up your window and shake your head when I drove by. But, you didn't see me, driving behind you when you flicked your cigarette butt out the car window. I saw you, frown at me when I smiled at your children. But, you didn't see me, when I took time off from work to run toys to the homeless. I saw you, stare at my long hair. But, you didn't see me, and my friends cut ten inches off for Locks of Love. I saw you, roll your eyes at our leather coats and gloves. But, you didn't see me, and my brothers donate our old coats and gloves to those that had none. I saw you, look in fright at my tattoos. But, you didn't see me, cry as my children where born and have their name written over and in my heart. I saw you, change lanes while rushing off to go somewhere. But, you didn't see me, going home to be with my family. I saw you, complain about how loud and noisy our bikes can be. But, you didn't see me, when you were changing the CD and drifted into my lane. I saw you, yelling at your kids in the car. But, you didn't see me, pat my child's hands, knowing he was safe behind me. I saw you, reading the newspaper or map as you drove down the road. But, you didn't see me, squeeze my wife's leg when she told me to take the next turn. I saw you, race down the road in the rain. But, you didn't see me, get soaked to the skin so my son could have the car to go on his date. I saw you, run the yellow light just to save a few minutes of time. But, you didn't see me, trying to turn right. I saw you, cut me off because you needed to be in the lane I was in. But, you didn't see me, leave the road. I saw you, waiting impatiently for my friends to pass. But, you didn't see me. I wasn't there. I saw you, go home to your family. But, you didn't see me. Because, I died that day you cut me off. I was just a biker. A person with friends and a family. But, you didn't see me. Repost this around in hopes that people will understand the biker community . If you dont repost this, It sucks to be you. I hope you never lose someone that rides.
  15. My feeling AMEN lets get all the facts before we bad mouth people. We are all human no matter what color we are. We all make mistakes. Some have to live with it and others don't. In any case my prayers go out to Gary and his family and this it what we need to think about right now. HOPE I DIDN'T STEP ON ANYONE'S TOES.
  16. Hi everybody. This is Gary's son Jeff again. I wanted to let you know that we have created a blog to post messages to our family. Thanks again for all of your thoughts. The website for the blog is http://memoryofleslie.blogspot.com/. ~Jeff

  18. Eck, just a note of warning for you and everyone East of the Mississsippi, L.A. Pryor is on the move. Left my house at 4:30 this morning heading your way. Get the coffee pot started. You may have to make him shave that scraggly thing he called a beard off before you let him around the family. I would have, but I was just too tired.:rotf::rotf: I got a two hour nap while he and Pat talked and then we all went to sleep. Good Luck
