  1. This has to be the most awesome day for a ride,,,, an all day ride,, and we could do just that,,,, except we promised to help out our youngest in St. Catherines fix up her yard and fix her lawn mower,,, and put in an outdoor plug and plant some plants,,,, so we will be tied up today,,,,, bummer,,,,,but hey, family comes first so she tops our list today,,, maybe ice-cream this evening on the way home, after all it is a Canadian Holiday. Did a 200 k ride yesterday,, just so we wouldn't feel tooo bad today. Enjoy your day folks, couldn't ask for better conditions, no matter what you're doing. Oh Ya she lives on Grass Ave,, not hard to find once you get there (my van will be there) incase you have excess energy.

  10. I had the great pleasure to help a fellow VR.ORG member add a few custom pieces to his VR recently and I wish I could say I had a hand in fabbing up the body on this 86'VR but I would be lying!! Please enjoy these pics of one of the most original VR's I have ever seen. By the way, this bike belongs to Steve Crossley and he is a bit shy about braggin' about his scoot, BUT I'M NOT! Enjoy. Earl

  13. Hey Boss, Is there a way to include a separate total number of Supporting Members in the Mini Stats area? I'm always curious as to how many we have & would enjoy watching THAT number increase rather than the false number that now reaches almost 8400.
  14. BOO

I had mentioned my BSA in a post recently and had a request to put some pictures in my Gallery. The pictures there are not real good, I'll have to take some better ones some day. Enjoy, BOO

  20. Just been thinking that I might also enjoy having a Trike Kit installed on my RSV and would apprediate some honest answers to a few questions that comes to mind. 1. What is the brand of yours? 2. Do you truly like and enjoy it? 3. Is there anything in particular that you dislike about it? 4. Do you feel in control at all times? 5. Do you feel any safer now than you did on 2 wheels? 6. Do you have that Proud feeling, like "Busting your Buttons"? Or just always smiling! 7. Is turning corners on city streets any problems? 8. Is it hard to steer at all? 9. How efficient are the rear brakes? 10. Have you ever tipped it up on 2 wheels? 11. Can you push it backwards fairly easy? 12. How much did it reduce your gas mileage? Man, that's a lot of questions! I hope that I'm not being too inquisitive and I thank you for the answers! Owen.
  21. For your viewing pleasure...these guys deserve these awards....enjoy Bob http://www.mynorthwest.com/?nid=228&sid=168067
  22. Ok, here's my newest problem. The guy that I bought my bike from had installed an aftermarket radio. I didn't like the look so about two months ago I installed the OEM radio in my 83' standard. I wanted the classic look back and I enjoy that feature that allows the volume to deminish when you slow down. Anyway...From the beginning I had problems with powered antenna on the bike. I've never been able to get a strong enough signal. Not a big deal at this point, because I'm just using my little iPod and enjoy the tunes. But, for the past couple of weeks it's been developing a buzzing noise coming through the speakers. At first it wasn't anything too bad. But now its really loud. It only seems to happen upon excelleration, and continued riding. If I come to a stop the noise becomes only moderat. I've tried unplugging the iPod (which I'm just running through the tape deck with an adaptor.) and that doesn't change anything. I've tried using the radio. Nada. Same problem. I've tried taking everything appart and checking connecting. Everything is tight and appears to be connected correctly. I'm wondering what I may be missing. Oh, BTW, this noise comes through the speakers even is the radio isn't turned on. Hope someone can help. This is really bumming out my rides. Thanks
  23. Don't know any details, but saw this in the AutoZone parking lot in Brandon, MS. Thought some of you would enjoy seeing it...
  24. Northern California Coast... Hwy 101 "Avenue of the Giants". Check out http://www.aveofthegiants.com/ This road is a spectaular look into an ancient redwood forest. The road winds ever so gracefully for about 30 miles with lots of little "burgs" along the way to stop and "refresh" yourself or sut to stretch and enjoy the beauty. It is really hard to describe the feeling you get riding through this forest other than to say you feel really... small. Was there late last summer...crowds were gone and the pavement was in great shape too. SW Washington Highway 25 and 99 from Swift Washington up to the Windy Ridge Observatory at Mt. St. Helens. http://www.fs.fed.us/gpnf/04maps/files/mshrec.jpg Again...what can I say...Mt. St. Helens is a must see but to avoid the crowds and get into some really good riding check out the east side of the park. I rode up there last fall and what a sight...a little chilly late in the season but wow!!! Again, the rode less travelled and the pavement was in great shape. Excellent access if you head south to the Columbia Gorge too...but that is totally different write-up. Enjoy the ride wherever it takes you...just RIDE!!! G
  25. Started at the southern end and road north. Myself, brother Chris, and long time friend JD. Hope you enjoy. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/album.php?albumid=393
