well im having trouble with my 83 venture xvz12 it wont start ive changed the tci checked the picup coils and omed out the coils and they are all checking out fine but still no spark can any body give me some thought of what i could do next

i am looking for new front tire for my 1st gen and found this ? Dunlop Elite 3 130/70HB-18 Front GL1500 i know 1stgs use a 130 / 90 but dos a 70 have a shorter side wall than a 90 ? what do every body think ? Thom

just kicking the idea around for wet weather gear and was looking for opinions. I know how varied the opinions on this site are, but still willing to risk it. AS I dont have any gear with body armor yet I am thinking of getting a 3 season jacket and pants set with body armor. Either that or use Frogg toggs over my leather gear that I presently own. Chaps and jacket no armor. All opinions are welcome as my mind isn't made up yet. Thanks for any input in advance. David

Before I got the electric vest I used Hot Hands Body Warmers to ride when it was it was real cold. Since my DR650 doesn't have enough wattage to support the vest for very long I have purchased some more. They are normally $1.97 at Walmart for a package of three but this time of the year they get put on clearance for about a dollar. The bigger sizes really work good to keep your torso warm which helps everything stay warm.

I am in the middle of getting Dave Pankows bike ready to roll for the season. I have the carbs off and #2 air/fuel screw isn't coming out. I have tried everything and it's just not going to come. I dont need a whole bank of carbs, just #2 the others came out. What I need is if any of you 1st genners have even just the body of #2 carb that I can transfer all the other parts into. This is an '86 1300 and I can use all the help I can get, thanks for the time

I am thinking about looking for something with ABS to replace the Venture. I have never been very comfortable trying to bring that heavy bike to a quick stop when it is loaded with gear and a passenger. I am 6'6" and need some room so I don't think a goldwing or BMW would be an option any body have some experience with any of the other choices. From what I have seen so far it is looking like Harley may be the only real choice. Let me hear your thoughts.

Several of the body parts off the 84 VR parts bikes that were spoken for are now available again. If any of you are still needing body parts they are being offered at a pre Christmas discount since I'm trying to raise a little extra Christmas cash. All of the parts will need to be repainted since the previouse owner painted black rattle can spray paint over the original red/ dark red factory finish, but, are otherwise in good shape. Trying to stretch the mileage per gallon of gas, I went out and bought another bike. I pick up a Yamaha XT225 Dual-sport ( now they have fancy names we used to call them enduro's). What a great little bike, it can get up 80+ mpg, there seems to be a big following on XT225/250 web site too. Now I can take advantage of another part of our sport. Not motor-cross my body could not put up with that anymore. I am talking about leisure exploring the woods. Now where are there some woods on Long Island? When i first signed up i didnt know what i was getting into but after being on here for 8 months and getting to know some of you and really liking this site and the people i realize that my sir name per say isnt what i really like and after going on the st jude ride this past weekend and people asking me well who are you on line and me telling them 1_2_ride_rsv. it really isnt a name as much as what i like to do. So with your blessing i would like to change my name if that is all right with you and the group. i dont think it will hurt any body cause i know i am not on anybodys buddy list. so when i was a teenager i seen this movie and CB's where real big back in 70's i went with the name are you ready for this ok here it is NAKED RIDER. I'll be in Mt Airy Maryland with the pickup next Saturday 9/27 buying tractor parts. Just thought you might be bidding on something up this way. juston :was born aug 2004,his berth was mishandled,and has been on assested living,ever sence,his body was,great,but due to lack of oxygen,his brain was mostly nonfunctional,his body out grew his ability,to live,all the life support was taken off,and he passed,at 1:30 this morn weather this is a blessing,or not,i thank,the blessing,now mom and dad,can spind more time with his younger sister, and older brother,as for me,i am ok,not devestated,as this is part of life my prayers,and support go out to his famly lowell a pryor[aks wild hair 39]

this time , it isn't so good. the lab results on the fluid that was removed from her lungs, had "free floating" lymphoma cells in it. right now they are calling it "lymphomia", because they don't know what type it is, or where it is , in her body. my mind is not working too good, right now, and if it weren't for spell check, ya'll wouldn't be able to make heads nor tails out of this post. just jt

Dang I was just reading bout some tornados already down south. I know for sure Boo is in the area that one or two touched down along the Ill Wis border. Boo,Jane are you guys ok? Any body else....hope you are all ok! This is early to be chatting about these things!
