I have always run my air at 12 lbs for the front and 45 lbs for the rear. I noticed since I got "Ugly" that I was having a lot harder time with low speed handling. Today I was playing with the air settings and rode a while with 9 lb in the front and 35 in the back. Memories of the "Blue Beast" coming back. Handles GREAT. It just never entered my head(too full of knowledge) that the bike would handle the air that much different. It just doesn't take as much air for "Ugly" to sit up as much as the "Blue Beast" did. Too much air was putting me out of my comfront zone along with the leg and I was blaming everything on the leg. Point I'm trying to make is "Play with it once in a while" NO! NO! The air settings!! Adjust them a little different and see how it feels. See how it feels......... Hey Muffin I think I'll be ready for that ride!! Hurry up and get home!!

Black with flames. Carbs still there, cassette deck still there. We were up in Burton Ohio this past Sat. and some one went by me with a custom painted ( with blue flames ) RSV. Loud pipes and sounded great ? Steve

I am looking at a blue venture that has a trunk rack. I just dont like the look of a rack on the back. Is there anyone on here with a 2007 blue venture that would like a rack? Maybe we could work something out where we could exchange the whole trunk lid? Let me know. thanks. -

If you recall earlier posts I totaled a 87 VR just over a year ago. Troubled myself over what to buy as a replacement, which ended up being a 09 red hot sunglo Harley Ultra Classic. I am enjoying the bike and have logged 2600 miles since June 9th. But I missed the last VR gathering! So, guess what followed my home this past week? A new to me 89 Blue Venture Royale with 38,000 miles. Needs some cleaning, adjusting, and of course a little help from my friends. That being said, I'm back! Hope to see ya on the road..... So I drove down to Eva Alabama on Monday to help my Bro In-law move. We turned around and drove home Tuesday morning. I was on US24 on that little section that dips down into GA from TN heading to Chattanooga. The ONLY RSV I spotted on the whole dang trip was around exit 169 head North/West. It was a purty blue and so shinny it almost hurt to look at. Who was it? Art~

My wife and I are planning a ride to do some 14,000 foot mountains in Colorado this summer but I do not want to have my Venture give out on me nor overheat doing so. We love the bike and have riden the Blue Ridge Parkway without problem but, of course, they are not nearly as high as some of the roads in Colorado. We should live to never regret the experiences we have not had. -
We're leaving in the morning for our Eastern TN, Western VA loop. Does anyone have recommendation for a good (non-chain) restaurant in those areas? Or anywhere else along the way? Any sites that we need to make sure we see? If you see a blue RSV, a Goldwing, a black HD Ultra, a black Vulcan, and a black V45 Magna driving by wave us down. Thanks, Dennis

Saturday I rode up to T.W.O. in Suches, Ga. When I pulled in I pulled up next to, on first glance, looked like a very clean and pretty Blue on Blue 1st Gen MK2 Venture Royale. Naturelly I immediatly introduced myself and asked the rider his name and if he was a Venturerider member. He gave his name and said he had never heard of the venturerider group. As we were talking I was admiring his bike which for some reason I couldn't immediatly place didn't look right. The front end was a typical 87VR but the tail end trunk, saddlebags and crash bars was Goldwing rear end painted perfectly to match the color scheme of the factory blue on blue ventures. The reflector on the trunk said , YamaHonda Before he left I gave him a card and the web site address, I also invited him to Vogel since he didn't live that far a way. So maybe we'll get a chance to check this bike out later in more detail.

Twisted my ankle, won't tell how but a few peole know how. Anyway I'm using a cane for now and hoping things will be better tomorow. It does not look black and blue, but is swelled a small amount. Think I'm going to bed now...

i am coming out again ! just got done with the repairs after the lady backed over the bike all painted and just need to polish it out . the paint is pro shop , white base , metallic med coat and clear coat , there is a few things painted metallic blue - front dic. covers . bag rails , drink holders . got the news macs on : THANKS Condor : also installed a led lite bar that has running lites , turn , and brake lites removed the helmet locks and cheated , glued the bar on : THANKS Wildhair lov Amazing Goop : the next thing to do is move the trunk back , and install led clusters on the bottom lite bar and than paint the trailer to match . only get one day off a week now so it is slow work . was trying to get every thing done to show it off at the Rally but my pet sitter aka son moved back to Memphis last week so have nobody to watch the dog and cat , the dog would lov to ride in the trailer but the 3 cats would come unglued . Just on my way back from lunch and saw a two tone blue first gen. on hwy. 142 in Covington Ga. going by the home depot. First one i have seen in my neck of the woods, just wondering if it was a member. I did not have enough time to turn around but it looked like a very nice bike.

Ok Gang here is the scoop.. As most of you know I had my Bike converted to a trike a few weeks ago. ALSO had a now triple tree installed for a 6 deg Rake. (GLAD I DID THAT) Anyhow... I first got it back.. and was riding around town to get used to her then I put Cruse on and it worked for about a mile or so... (kicks Off) Now more time passes I have been riding longer and farther now. Been a Gas BTW... Now when I activated the cruise control while riding. the blue light goes on and it is waiting. I HIT SET and it would go into it HOLD.. As of couple days it will only last a 10th of a mile or so.. Today.. Get all ready to test it again.. blue light is ready.. hit SET and Nothing. The RES/SET lights just keep trying over and over again.. until it will shut down itself. I am thinking it had something to do with the Rake Kit Added. I have an email sent off to the owner. I am sure he will be good for it.. nice folks. But I just didn't want to deal with bring it there and taking the day off and waiting all day.. thought maybe if one of you geniuses might think it could be something so simple . I talk the installer and they say they didn't remove anything. yeah whatever. and he did check the Cruise. It worked FINE until I got it back.. This is there first install on this Kit all went well and I am very pleased with there work , but I do not have Cruise anymore. HELP???? (bike only has 10,700 miles on it.) I also have checked both lower fairings all looks good there. I also have checked the speedo. Also have checked all the switches as for as how they look going in and out etc. have not checked behind the fairing yet. Gatta have somthing to do with the rakeing I bet. (ANY IDEA"S) Thanks for reading, Jeff -

I passed a blue on blue 1st gen yesterday on Dekalb Technology Parkway, at the F.O.E. (Fraternal Order of Eagles) off Chamblee Tucker Road at Spagetti Junction in Atlanta, at about 3:30 p.m. yesterday (Sunday 3/ 22/09). Who was it? I turned around and tried to catch up but you had disappeared.

I am not being nosey! Just wondered where every one is planning on riding to this summer. I know where I want to travel; I am never sure if it will happen or not. I want to go the Smokies again, the Blue Ridge Mountains, and probably down in Kentucky to take some of the distillery tours. I also would love to go to some Blue Grass Festivals. Of course, to Freebird's MD. Yama Mama

It looks like I will not be going to bike week. I am in the process of buying my first home and I am using some of my vacation to do it but I am still planning on doing the Blue Ridge Parkway in early Sept. I so wanted to go camping at the Cabbage Patch but other things in life take precedence. Maybe next year. Tom:bang head:

I am putting passing lamps on my RSTD. I put a relay under my seat following a post of Venture instructions. The instructions say that I should hook my relay switch wire to the blue with yellow stripe. In my headlight bucket on the large connector block there is a blue 14ga wire with yellow stripes going perpendicular to the wire. On the small connector block there is a blue 18ga wire with the yellow stripe running the length of the wire. Do you know which wire that I should use on a 2008 RSTD? Thanks

I got a new Magellian 4250 GPS for Christmas . How do I hook it up to my 07 Venture so that I can hear it through the audio system ? I know it is Blue tooth compatible. I don't have a helmet with speaker and microphone

does anyone have any gently used chrome rear floorboards taking up space in there garage they would like to part with? i dont want to pay the dealer price for them yet. oh yeah for the 2nd Gen rsv ( i think the blue and black is faster than the faded blue) hehehehehehe
