It was brought up in the "Request for Features" area that events listed on the calendar get lost among all the members birthdays. I am experimenting with the calendar and have removed birthday listings from it. Do any of you use the calendar to see who is having a birthday? The birthdays are listed at the bottom of the forum and I figure that most people use that listing and not the calendar. It does really clean up the calendar and makes it much easier to spot our events but if the majority of you prefer it the other way, I can quickly change it back to the way it was. As always, opinions are welcome.

It has been an interesting week for me. Last Friday I flew out to Houston and picked up my new to me 89 VR (Sorry I couldn't hang around for your birthday Don). Today I watched one of my great-nieces join the family business.

A couple pics of the newest grandson....was awesome to finally get to see and hold him ! Grandma had to have a picture of him in his new camo hat she got him... Got to give fair time to the granddaughter also.....she turned 3 the day after Christmas so i finally got to be there for her birthday...as u can see she has chocolate cake on her mouth!! and here is a pic of the whole famn damily

Anyone going to Luckenbach and Fredericksburg for Memorial Day weekend? They are having the 160th birthday for Luchenbach and a crawfish boil and cajun cooking in Fredericksburg, rumor has it there may be beer involved. Priscilla and I are staying at the Fredericksburg KOA.

Like I said - its not my birthday but something wierd happened a few weeks back. Was trying to convince my wife that WE need to get a new Clearview windshield, explaining all about how She would have a better ride, and I would have better protection, etc. - and she said go ahead, You deserve it!!!!!! Thirty seconds later I had it ordered and today - UPS says they will deliver - and that makes it my Birthday (not)!!!

I am leaving in the morning by cage to go see the LSU/Kentucky basketball game on Saturday. My son bought us tickets for my birthday. What is good to see in Lexington. Dont have a lot of time but will be able to look around some. GO TIGERS. Lyle

a thread that was posted about a company that sold a bar with running lights that goes on the rear trunk behind the luggage rack. It was really inexpensive, around $30.00-$40.00, I think. I saw the post when I first joined back in May and thought it would be a good birthday present for Gary. Don't know what the thing a ma jig is called. :confused24:Spoiler? Well i went to hospital to have the hardware remove from ankle 01/04/08 surgery went well all-tho i could tell something else was wrong,,, it was hurting on my left side to breath when i left hospital,,,,, thinking it was the anastetic ,,,,,,,welllll as the day progressed the pain did too till approx 0100 am sat morn i could not catch my breath another trip to hospital er,,,,,, xray revealed a collapsed lung left side ,,,, insert a chest tube OUCH big time and another 4 days in the hospital...day 4 01/08/08 home again yee haaa Thanks All for the birthday wishes........ Lee

I dont know who to thank but , The 15th when I woke up It was my 45th birthday and as I turned on the comp I saw an email from Venturerider. It was a birthday greeting. It was the only one I received that day . Guess everyone in my family was to busy.Now my daughter and wife were right on time , but my siblings must have forgotten. Anyway thanks agian.....Fred

Yesterday I had reason to meet many of the Patriot Gurd Riders and they came through like the true champions they are .It was so good of my fellow riders to show up in such force in the middle of the week that it blew me away.For those of you who did not know yesterday I had the honor of meeting many of the PGR who showed up to escort a close friend and my past Fire Chief and was a veteran of Iwo Jima.I even saw a couple of Ventures in the group.And today there must have been at least 6 or 7 hundred bikes and they are still comming through heading down to South Padre Island for the big rally and saw a couple more in those bikes.Still looking for mine .Just aint found it yet.But as for as the PGR guys I was proud to ride with you and even though it was a sad day and my birthday as well it was a super birthday present to have you there. Thanks Ron P.S.Hip ypu could of at least sent me an e-mail saying happybday Freebird did.
