  1. Riding in Tucson was great back in 1973. use to go to the Bum Steer for the best steak sandwich ever, lot of collage girls too, best part of my life! :backinmyday:
  2. Did you have any problem bleeding your front brakes after the de-linking? I have been working on mine for about two weeks. I tried the vacume bleeder, slandered bleeding, taped the brake lever shut over night for the air to rise to the top, I don't see any leaks, cleaned the calipers and the right front seems to bleed OK but the left won't bleed all the air out.
  3. Yes it was stuck in the caliper. I think your right, some one is blocking fluid. That line was already cut and crimped off at the proportioning valve though. Maybe if the pistons are not frozen it will be OK. Right! Not the kind of luck I have.
  4. Sounds like it could be a scam. To check it out send me $100.00 and I'll let you know if it goes through.:bluesbrother:
  5. I am putting a double banjo bolt and running two brake lines down from the front brake master cylinder to the two front brakes as the left front was disabled when I bought the bike.[Hope this will work] Question: When I took the left front brake line off, a small pin fell out. [looks like a flat head nail with the flat head part facing toward the line. Is there a pin in there that broke off?
  6. OK This doesnt make sence to me but maby you will understand it: Max load-434 lbs With Max Load-front 225kPa Rear 275 kPa (From owner's manual) Off my tires I got 640 lb front 908 Rear If you know were else to look on the bike I would be glad to look.
  7. I have the service manual in front of me if you spell out what you want I might be able to find it for you.
  8. So I assume the double banjo bolt just screws into the master where the front goes in and then connect the lines up front? Sounds to easy. Am I missing something?
  9. Well I found out why my Lft. front brake isn't working. When I took the plastic off for a new paint job I noticed the brake line is sniped and soldered shut.Question: Why would some one do that? Should I try to fix it or should I just use rear and right front brakes, they work good. Thanks, Jerry
  10. Man thanks a lot I couldn't ask for better guidance. Now Ill give it a try.
  11. I dont know much about this bike yet so bare with me. Need to replace a speedometer cable on my 83 Yamaha XVZ12TK, can I get the instrument cluster out to get to the back of it with out taking a lot of front fairing off. It seems loose like it will just pop out but I don't want to mess anything up. Thanks Jerry.
