I really liked Joe, there was something about him that set you at ease. I think Joe and Deb were very much meant for each other. Even though we rarely seen each other, there was always a sense of an on-going friendship when we did. Let us all keep Debbie in mind and in our prayers, for she has lost a very good husband and now needs to see life ahead without him.

Temp for Saturday is 13 and under, so for this body that is getting too cold. Thursday is the best for temp but rain and I'm bust morning and aft.

Looks to be coming from the valve covers maybe, then it will need new valve cover gaskets, seeing as you can't tighten these at all. It's kind of hard to tell, the video doesn't quite show it well.

Seems like you enjoyed the ride,,, good for you!

It's a troublesome time we live in. We will keep asking for His grace for both Joe and Deb. May we all be aware of the brevity of life and good times on this earth and use that time to prepare for the future, where there will be no time.

It could be iffy for me too now since I have to replace 2 broken front springs on my truck now.

So if the spring isn't there, then the filter could be pushed away from the block and there would be no filtration of the oil? I didn't know there was supposed to be a spring in there until I saw this post. I guess I'd better find one for my 83.
You got that right.

Well post 32 doesn't tell me if mine can be repaired. I read the whole thread and some say it's not repairable and some say it is.
That's why I asked.
Send the young lad a message, he is probably the best source for info.

If it's not too cold, I will consider to join.

We never know what tomorrow holds for us, well not even the rest of today for that matter. It's best to leave all those things in the hand of the Master, who knows all and governs all, even though at times we might not think so. I'm glad I can have a conversation with Him and I will ask for His input for Joe and Deb.

I hear a lot of good for the Shinko 777.

So just curious, I just bought my bike almost 2 weeks ago. It's a pogo stick. Lol. Can this shock be repaired? Or am I just buying a new unit?
Check post 32 in this thread.

Hi Carl, the 84 VR is running great (Thank you) I was referring to my 86’. I lubed the cable but no effect. I was hoping to see you on the Ontario ride to pick your brain on this one.
Mark
You need a cable lube tool, and then you have to get at the back of the speedo to use it for it's purpose.

Ok, Pasta Burner, thank-you. I have a VR parts bike I may practice on before I attempt it. I've seen on You Tube where the instrumentation panel is removed to fix the howling speedometer so I'll follow that process and lube the speedometer while I'm at it,
Mark
I did grease that speedo, and the cable. Wonder what is causing that now. Special tool needed for the speedo.

They are there because somebody put them there. At least that seems to be logical for me anyways.

I will cancel for Saturday, like Don says, maybe a better day in store. The joy of riding is never ending.

Not looking too good for Saturday. Cold and maybe somewhat wet. Any other day this week?

My 1st choice or vote would be for a northbound ride. But am open to any decision.
Started a new thread to get things out for all those who might not otherwise not get a notice of this planned ride.
