Thanks all for confirming my thought. Just what I thought it was,  but I'm not an expert 😁.  Going to change the pump now,  I had bought a spare fuel pump last year as partzilla had the for decent price, and had a feeling I might be running into it soon. Worked out perfect I just took it out of winter storage and was just going to change oil and get it ready for the season . I'm in new england so only about 7 or 8 months of riding .

Replace the points in the old one and you’ll still have a spare.

If I'd have known that I would have never recommended Sonic,  Sorry for giving bad info!

It’s not on anybody here, unfortunately oftentimes a small business that thrives on customer service gets swallowed up by a bigger business that just worries about the bottom line. I’m sure the product is still good but probably not their big bread winner so it’s a back burner item now. I’m just a stickler for customer service.

Ha. No I called him after I found it $7k under list. Guess I’ve been around the wife too long, that 25% off sale got me. It’s a 2023 holdover. Couldn’t find one anywhere on the net in the same price range. They have a couple more if you want one🤣🤣🤣

    What boat?? I don't see a boat.

It’s hidden in the weeds so it doesn’t get stolen. I’m having the motor swapped out for more HP,  they put the smallest one it’s rated for on it. Should get it in a few weeks.

  5. We went out Saturday, probably the most expensive 150 miles we ever rode. Spent $12 on gas, $40 on lunch, stopped by a motorsports store and accidentally dropped the deposit on an 18’ aluminum fishing/hunting boat. 😱😱😱. We just planned to look and pick out something to put on our wish list and start saving for. B41EEB7E-D138-4E28-824C-1D53FF5AF645.thumb.jpeg.1e8c94892e4b2ecfac5337713efecace.jpeg

  6. Update: My last message to them was that I was planning to open a PayPal dispute today at 12:00 if the order wasn’t fulfilled. The owner called me at 10:00 (18 days after order placed) to tell me they were running behind and they wouldn’t be making the springs for another week. I can understand busy times and product delays but keeping your customers in the loop goes a long way. An answered email or returned call could have saved them a sale and repeat customer. I recommend that if you want a product from them that you call ahead to see if it’s in stock.

Wow.  That’s too bad.  They were once a great company.

I don’t know if there’s a legit reason for a delay or if it’s just poor management but you’d think they could take 10 seconds to answer an email in 2-1/2 weeks. Lack of customer service is the fastest way to lose me as a customer.

  8. Sonic Springs has evidently been bought out by DMR Performance Suspension, my experience with this order leaves a lot to be desired. I placed and paid for the order 3/25, they won’t answer emails or return voicemails. As of today I am attempting to cancel the order to get refunded and plan to order Race-Tech springs. I had only heard good things of Sonics before this buyout.

  9. My phone number is in my profile for anyone who needs to contact me. If the number you call from isn’t in my contact list it will send you straight to voicemail. Either leave a message or shoot me a text so I can add you to my contacts.

  10. I get those a few times a year, I never open the email or click any links. If I’m questioning anything I log into PayPal to check my account.

I keep thinking I'd like to do a Micro Rally up at the cabin in North Central PA but life keeps getting in the way.  I'll be retiring in 4 years and moving closer up towards the cabin and will try to get it done then.

Great area for riding, but the cabin and property won't allow for a bigger event.

If you build it we will come!!!

Now that you have brought up the subject, I checked and noticed that WE Have been here all that time. Need some directions?

Plan and post a get together and I’ll head that way😁😁😁. Even rode with y’all from Bongo’s place to Don’s so it wouldn’t be my first trip. I miss the WNY rallies.

I am thinking on it and I know @Marcarlis as well as we talked about it. I just have a few issues I need to get out my way before I can confirm.

Great!!! I was talking to @skydoc_17 today about ways we could get y’all down here without having to drag you down with a log chain. 🤣🤣🤣

  14. The wife and I rode a couple hundred miles today starting to map out a few rides for the rally. We’ll do some more rides in the coming weeks to get it narrowed down. This brings up the questions I need y’all’s input on. I mentioned earlier Hannigan Motorsports factory is here in our county and Boss Hoss is a couple hours away, both offer free tours but they need to be scheduled ahead. So the big question is if there’s interest in a tour or would you rather ride and fellowship more with other members?  If I remember correctly I think the Hannigan tour was around two hours led by Dave Hannigan himself last time.

If anybody living near the border could slip across and light a fire under some of them EH teamers and herd them this way it would be nice to see them again also.

I think you will like the Sonic Springs.  In my opinion, they are the best option for the RSV.

They were your idea anyway 🤣. I’ve got some pretty strong front dive after 80k on it. I started reading posts here thinking about progressives and found several posts by you and Rick Butler about the Sonics. I placed the order yesterday, when they get here I’m going to install them in a lower mileage set of Midnight forks from a parts bike I bought. Hopefully having the forks ready will make a quick job of pulling the fairing and swapping forks. I already have a hook in the ceiling to hang the inner from doing head bearings a couple years ago. I saved them with the idea of liking the chrome forks someday.

  16. Seems like every spring somebody posts a reminder to check fluids, tires, pressures etc. Handling on my bike seemed to get loose last fall, and I really didn’t look into it past tire condition and pressure, rode it last week and it didn’t ride well at all. I finally started looking at it and figured out 0psi in the left fork vs 6psi in the right makes it unhappy(bad Schrader valve core). I ordered new Sonic springs and fork oil to solve this problem permanently. Moral of the story: Don’t be complacent and do a better job pre tripping your bike than I’ve been doing. Easy to get lazy on a bike that rarely shows a problem.
