  1. I’ve seen an agm show great voltage until it’s hit with a load then it drops out.

  2. Running two up on open highway in 5th gear you won't get very good mpg. I haven't done it for great distances, but I would guess mid 30s at best. I do run interstate a lot and average 36-38 mpg, but I do run it pretty hard at times. Only thing I can say on windshield is that I've never experienced that with stock shield.

  3. If you do that and the bike ever needs to be towed on an open trailer, take the seat off or put a binder strap over it, because it will take flight and then you are buying a new seat.

  4. I’m not familiar with that shield but I base a short shield that was terrible. I’m running a Bagger shield that’s good, a couple others good also. Keep the engine up around 4K and let it breathe. The mpgs are pretty good as long as the carbs are clean and good plugs.

  5. The symptoms as described are classic loose connection at the the battery. Of course, it could be anywhere in the main up to the starter. Or at the frame connection of the battery ground. But that description is almost always a loose battery connection. Don't know how the sound system would react though.

  6. Could be battery connections but most likely the ignition switch went south.

  7. Welp, figured it out. Turns out my Cruise Control Switch connector pins were coming loose. Spliced in new connector and all good!

  8. I buy plastic wing nuts at the hardware store. I believe they are 1/4 inch, coarse thread. The studs on the bike are metric but the plastic threads on SAE wing nuts will thread on a little tight and conform to the metric. This helps keep them vibrating off. No need to over tighten. Just snug
