  1. I have talked to Cowpuc recently. Here is what he wrote to me. I don't think he would mind me sharing it. Hey,, Hi Don! As always, good to hear from you, hope all is well with you folks. Miss you too brother! Life has taken a ton of changes for Cheryl and I, as you probably know, due to my health, we are no longer riding (we did get out for a short spin yesterday, it was great to get out again) and spending a lot of our time in California playing with the grandkids. I am taking a break from cyber world as much as possible as I attempt to sort out this next phase of life for us. Dont give my screen name away though as I plan to be back,, faster, stronger and more able to stir pot. Well, at least able to stir the pot adequately lol. Thanks for touching base my friend, I appreciate it! Tip sends her love as do I!! Me P.S. - we did go thru Sturgis on our way home from California a couple days ago and get this, we got to ride (was driving our car so not actually riding with them) with the Hells Angels!! After 200 miles of riding with them we partied with them a little in a gas station parking lot and Tippy stood in the middle of them and started telling ride stories of days past LOL... I am building a really good supply of ride stories to tell on my return to VR in the future.. PREPARE YOURSELF BROTHER!!

  2. My most favorite picture of Puc and Tippy. Both pics taken 3 years ago when I took my RSV out to visit them on way to MD. Never made MD due to rain..... But great trip regardless!!

  7. Good day everyone! I'm back. Left about 2 years ago......had first one hip replaced......didnt think I could or would ride again so I sold my 06RSV........quickly learned that I was wrong so thought I would try a newer 1800 Wing. Have had 3 Ventures and now 2 Wings over the years. Had the other hip replaced this April and the Wing, as nice and smooth and powerful as it is, is just too heavy and hard for me to get on and off of. She's a great bike but......I miss my RSV so I have the Wing up for sale and have been shopping....have a few on my mind, just have to sell the Wing first. Will also be getting a new knee somewhere in the not-too-distant future. Don't know how many of the "old crew" are still here. Anyway, I'm here and you're stuck with me again.

  8. Interesting point. Besides now-a-days they have some very effective LED road flares, saves from using up the bikes battery or convenient if the bikes battery is already Dead. https://www.amazon.ca/s?k=LED+road+flares

  10. I have a used OEM pump I keep on the bike as a spare. I got it from ebay for $30, I think it was from one of the cycle salvage places, came off a low-mileage bike and was super clean. Hit it with 12v & confirmed it works. It doesn't take up much space in the side bags & if my pump ever goes out on a long road trip, I can swap it in and then when I return, replace the points on the old one (sounds like that's the typical failure point) and then it becomes my ride-along spare.

  11. New bike. At least it feels like it. I replaced the front rotors (warped one last time I installed a tire when it shot out of the bead breaker), new whoa pads on both ends, flushed the iced tea out of both brake systems, and the hot chocolate out of the clutch hydraulics. Ashamed I let the fluids go this long. Changed the oil and monkeyed with tire pressure a little, and installed the radiator guard that came from Ky Bigmac’s wife. Now I just need to clean it up before I head out to Vogel.
