  1. Wifey got me these for my birthday. I wanted some overpants style pants to commute to work and these seem to fit the bill with the liners removed and worn over jeans or slacks they’re comfortable. Hope to test them out tomorrow. https://www.revzilla.com/motorcycle/sedici-alexi-2-mesh-pants kids gave me a Venture rider guardian bell too!! also got a new shirt and hat from vacation

  2. I'm definitely of the non-matching variety! We have a name for the variety you're talking about, but i can't repeat it in polite company.😀 @Flyinfool why on earth wouldn't the city or the race sponsors build a walkway over the road for the residents? Surely someone must get an earful about that every year.

  4. No I actually have long legs. I can put my feet down flat and still slightly bend my knees. My inseam is 35". This is the extended part. It replaces the short part that comes standard with the highway pedal.https://www.kuryakyn.com/products/559/male-mount-footpeg-extensions

  6. Be aware that stainless steel screws are rated at 70,000 PSI tensile strength and the same screw in steel is rated 120,000 PSI. 1/4-20 has an effective dia of .201. That is only .0317 Sq IN. Stainless hardware looks pretty and is more expensive but is equivalent to cheap grade 2 hardware.

  7. Already ordered all the "stuff". Stainless button head bolts for the heavy duty tie down points. Planning on putting a hardwood plank beneath the bed for the bolts to go through. The plank will extend perpendicular to the 2x8s, across the underside of the bed. Bolts will go through the recessed hold down, the 2x8 and the hardwood plank. Only 1/4' bolts, but 4 per hold down...Fender washers and nylon locknuts. I also got a bunch of single hole tie downs to mount on the uprights for bungees and such. Again, all stainless tie downs and bolts. I'll send a pic when I git-er-dun. https://www.ebay.com/itm/232241609909?var=531462564260

  9. Ugh those “racers” shutting down roads and backing up traffic. Riding 3-4 abreast on two lane blacktop while “practicing” or “training”. “Share the road” they say but you don’t see them sharing the cost, no insurance, no registration. Go rent a track like any other “racer”. When is the last time in the US where public streets are shut down for a motor sports race? But for pedal bikers it’s a right of some sort. I know I offended somebody so sorry in advance 🚴

  10. And J telling the same story from 3 or 4 different directions and rambling on and on would have been a pretty good indicator that, as a newer member, he was already starting to pick up some bad habits that some of our clubs life long members have honed to perfection and we certainly would not want that to happen LOL. See what mean LOL

  11. Went with the 7 x 14 aluminum, with the wood floor. Decided to go with the wood floor 'cause the trailer I have now is 17 years old with original wood that's still in good shape and I sometimes get creative when trailering oddball stuff and end up building off of the floor, which means driving screws into it. I think the wood is a lot more forgiving of such mistreatment. Anyhoo, went and picked it up today. Thanks everyone for your input.....Always valued and sometimes even wise. 😃
