  1. My wife slapped me on the back of the head with a fryin' pan and said, "You better not be lookin' at neked women on motorcycles again"! Before I could even open up your post! THANKS A LOT, BROTHER!! Nice pics, I wish I could take pics like that. Y DA' MAN! Earl

  2. @skydoc_17,, Earl I know that pic looked absolutely normal to you, and it probably would to me too if I had just went thru fry pan adjustment like you just worked your way thru, but something did not come thru correctly on my end so I thought I would volunteer some rotational assistance. Tippy wants to know if, after your ears stop ringing, you would ask that lovely bride of yours how she chooses Rockwell hardness on her fry pans she uses for corrective devices? She mumbled something about the point on my bald head having a tendency of deforming her pans. Puc

  3. We have all heard stories of them, usually I pay no mind nor do I disbelieve what others say they experienced. Not sure why this popped into my recommend file but, I did get it to blowup to 500 and it does seem to match what the guy says about it... hmm @ 17:30 minutes

  4. Sorry, couldn't resist... I'm one of the newest members here and have quickly grown to appreciate this site and group. Love my Venture and couldn't wait to make a little bike art with her to share with y'all. Enjoy!

  5. Did the valve shims at 60k miles and found 1 exhaust valve only slightly tight. There was still lots of life left if I'd have left it alone.

  10. It seems that most people didn't like the "moon" icon for changing the color of the theme so I've removed it. You can still switch between dark and light by going to the bottom of the page, clicking on theme, and choosing the VentureRider Light theme or the VentureRider Dark theme. Your choice is saved when you come back to the site and you can switch back and forth at any time. If you are one that actually did like the "moon", you can select the theme with selector from the theme menu.

  11. Start by opening the drain on one carb to see if you get a lot of fuel (a full float bowl will drain for 5-10 seconds with a steady stream, depending on how far you open the screw). After closing the drain, turn on your key and listen for the fuel pump to click rapidly for about 5 seconds. If no clicking, you have a bad pump. If it clicks rapidly for five seconds and does not slow down, cycle the key off and back on - if it clicks for another five seconds without slowing down, you have a fuel supply problem - most likely the fuel filter, but could be intake screen in the tank, too. If your filter is clean, you can just bypass the pump and ride the bike on gravity feed until you replace it. This is coved in detail in many other threads. Goose
