Freebird Posted September 4, 2022 Share #1 Posted September 4, 2022 Has anybody here put the Baron's risers on the Hannigan trike with EZ Steer? I got some stuff done yesterday. Bluetooth module installed, charging phone mount installed, new LED Headlamp installed. Last thing was to install the Baron's risers. I got them almost in place but there isn't enough clearance between the risers and the inner fairing. I can't get them to fit flush together, hitting the fairing leaves a gap between the risers and the old risers at the top because the inner fairing pushing them out. I'm about ready to give up on them.
Woody Posted September 4, 2022 Share #2 Posted September 4, 2022 I'm thinking there is a bolt on each side of the fairing that will give a little clearance for the risers, but what we put on was 2 inch I believe. the bolts will allow the fairing to tilt a little.
Freebird Posted September 4, 2022 Author Share #3 Posted September 4, 2022 Got the inner fairing loose now. Will install the risers and then see what the fairing does. May have to shim it a bit.
Freebird Posted September 4, 2022 Author Share #4 Posted September 4, 2022 Wish I had put the bars on before putting the fairing and etc back together. Oh well.

Freebird Posted September 4, 2022 Author Share #6 Posted September 4, 2022 All done. Got the risers installed, fairing put back together. All buttoned up and ready to go. I was thinking while the sweat was dripping off, I can remember when I actually enjoyed this mess. Of course it’s raining now that I’m ready to ride.
XV1100SE Posted September 4, 2022 Share #7 Posted September 4, 2022 (edited) What headlight did you use? Just put in an LED bulb or replaced the entire unit? Edited September 4, 2022 by XV1100SE
Freebird Posted September 4, 2022 Author Share #8 Posted September 4, 2022 Just a bulb. This was was recommended by Jeff. A little expensive compared to the ones on Amazon but works great.
Freebird Posted September 4, 2022 Author Share #9 Posted September 4, 2022 Now my passing lamps look terrible in comparison. I ordered some today. Got them on Amazon. They are supposed to be here tomorrow.
XV1100SE Posted September 4, 2022 Share #10 Posted September 4, 2022 For passing lights I still run the GE H7616 - halogen spot lights. Really bright and throw the light a long distance....but not the white of an LED headlight. My concern was more about how much they light the road in front and not the light colour. I haven't seen an LED for the passing lights that has as good a distance.
Freebird Posted September 4, 2022 Author Share #11 Posted September 4, 2022 I’ll let you know how they work out. All I have to compare them to is the stock ones though. Still won’t know how they compare to yours.
