Dunlop E3 tire fitment on second gen

Recommended Posts

Soooo. I need a set of tires on my '87. There seems to be lots of joy about tbe Dunlop E3s but what fits? 140/90-16 and 120/90-18 don't directly match up with what Dunlop lists.

Sorry if this has been beat to death!

Thanks in Advance!

Second Generation 1987?? You mean the TV show or the bike?

That's OK....it's not a big deal. For future reference though, at this site we call the '83 - '93 models "First Gen" and the '99 - Present the "Second Gen".

Not a problem that you posted it in the wrong place it's just that you will get better responses if you post in the correct area. Either way, you'll get answers because many of us have owned both generations and know will have an answer or make something up. :)

LOL that's a fine looking FIRST Generation 1987 model you have there..

SECOND generation models start in 1999 and carry on.. so you're in the wrong forum.. (bikes are very different though similar to some)

Some will argue the first gens were better than the second gens.. I wouldn't know, I only have a second gen.. ;) and I ride it a lot.. though I got my floorboard blown away by some crazy first gener in Pennsylvania the other year (grumble grumble)

Cheers M8!
