Brake pedal cover replacement problem 97 RSTD

So, I buy a Kuryakyn brake pedal replacement cover to pretty up the rear brake pedal. I decide to take the spring loaded pin out so I can clean up my arm while I was at it. Do you think I can figure out how to get that back together so that the spring holds the actual foot part in the down position. Does anyone have a picture or diagram of how to put that little mess back together so it holds my pedal in the down position? It's driving me nuts as it flies up while in motion.
