2012 Models - Don't think it's been asked in a while

Was thinking about posting the same question. My bet is 2012 Stratoliner Touring, like the Kawasaki Voyager, V-twin with all the goodies.

I'd say that's a very good bet. They already have the fairing and lowers for the Strat Deluxe, all they need is a trunk, cruise, and cassette deck and they will be all set.

Yamaha does their new model announcements in September/October. Word in a previous thread is that a new model RSV will be out in Fall of 2012 for 2013 model.

My thinking is that the RSV will be unchanged for 2012 (still with cassette) but will come with the iPod connector in the saddle bag since the cd-changer has been discontinued.

With all the EV and hybrid cars coming out... maybe they should skip fuel injection and go to an all electric bike?

Electric bike,,, No sound? ,,,but then there would be a new aftermarket for SOUND.

Like,,, clothes pins with playing cards or baloons in your spokes !!!

They are lobbying for hybrid cars and EV's to make sound so pedestrians could hear the vehicle. Just think... the Venture sounding like a Harley... or a Harley sounding like a Ferrari ! Vrrrroooom Vrooooom instead of "potato potato potato" !

I heard from a Yamaha dealer that there is talk of dropping the venture for one year and brining it back with a detuned Vmax engine and a new look. Just like they did with the Vmax.

They must be getting close to using all the parts they made back in 99.

If a company did make too many parts one year can they slap them together and call them another year?

Ah, the answer is SOUNDRACER audio plug-in's

http://www.soundracer.se/

They got them to make your 1995 Ford Escort sound like a Ferrari V12,,,

FROM THE INSIDE!

So, they could come up with Vance & Hines Shotguns Bluetooth for your full face helmet!!! CRANK IT UP!

Nothing has been said about what will happen to the Venture by Yamaha. The dealer meeting is in Sept. The only models Yamaha has on the website for 2012 is the 950 standard model and the touring model. The 650 is no longer going to be made this was the last year for it.

Haven't we been hearing this for about 3 years?

God, I hope it's true. It'd be nice to have a new Venture that can keep up with the first gens :whistling:
