tankerman Posted March 21, 2015 Share #1 Posted March 21, 2015 I have a 2011 RSTD and would like to get a little better brake performance especially from the front. The brakes are stock except for the addition of steel braided brake lines there is no problem with the mechanical s but I still find the brakes to be too weak for such a big heavy bike. Wondering if any one has any tips for improvement such as better pads or aftermarket parts? Thanks
awsmsrv Posted March 21, 2015 Share #2 Posted March 21, 2015 Front - EBC FA179HH (Sintered). Rear - EBC FA123 (Organic). If non-organic on the rear, too easy to lock them up. I think a few have done the R1 brakes. I'm sure someone will chime in on that.

BratmanXj Posted March 23, 2015 Share #4 Posted March 23, 2015 HH Pads on the front is about the only "upgrade" if you already have the braided lines. Late 90's and early 2000's R1/R6, 02-05 RS Warrior, or 07-up Road Star 4-Pot Calipers are a bolt on swap but you'll need to change your lower brake lines.
