T.J. Posted March 21, 2012 Share #1 Posted March 21, 2012 What are these plugs called? The one the arrows are pointing to. Both of mine are cracked and I need to replace them. Can't find the number on them so I can order some. The plug on the right. Thanks and isn't the weather wonderful here in the state of Michigan. Suppose to be in the 80"s today. The tend to crack very quickly on the curved part of the cap.
RSTDdog Posted March 21, 2012 Share #7 Posted March 21, 2012 I would spring for the OE ones myself. Yours are cracking at the 8 year mark. $6.00 every 8 years is not too bad.
Kirby Posted March 22, 2012 Share #8 Posted March 22, 2012 You should check them at least every time you do a carb sync, which should be at least once a year!
gunboat Posted March 22, 2012 Share #9 Posted March 22, 2012 hi tj the hose on the left is a vacume line. it's usually long enought that it can be cut off a little to get past the crack / split before having to replace the whole hose. don c. T.J. Posted March 22, 2012 Author Share #10 Posted March 22, 2012 Thanks everyone. I have placed an order with Bike Bandit. I noticed they were cracked when I was doing my carb sync. Have a great riding season.
