CaptainJoe Posted April 1, 2011 Share #8 Posted April 1, 2011 (edited) Not to throw a wet towel on all this enthuiasm but when I had my venture carbs torn down for a cleaning I didnt notice anything remotely resembeling Carb heat... Does this new Harley engine or 86 Virago engine have carb heat? My 650 Vstar has 3 carb heaters...I know cause i bronke one off and it cost me $20... Also: depending on what altitude your flying you need to lean out or ritchen the fuel to air mix... Edited April 1, 2011 by CaptainJoe
Freebird Posted April 1, 2011 Share #9 Posted April 1, 2011 The RSV does indeed have carb heaters. There are a few threads here somewhere that talk about people unhooking them and/or installing cut-off switches in order to save power for heated vests and etc. Mine are still connected.
