HID Lights

Anyone try one of these HID retrofit light kits? Good, Bad, OK? Any comments?

I seen a couple of members mentiion that they've replaced their headlight with one a little brighter. Sounded something like a 'hotshot' which is probably a standard bulb with a bit more wattage. But I think because of the price not many are going to pony up the bucks for one of the HID retro systems.... I found a couple of kits listed and sorta got sticker shock.... :)

I would recommend that you NOT put a HID in a standard lamp housing.

If you can find a HID with a 7" reflector I might try it, but the price would probably be quite prohibitive.

I put a PIAA’s Intense White bulb in the factory housing and am quite happy, and my wallet is a lot thicker than if I bought a HID back fit kit.

web bike world did a write up on these recently.

Seems like one was good and the other not so good.

I like that Hella makes one driving light looks good......only 700 bucks though

I guess you get what you pay for I'm not ready to part with that much coin. Maybe I'll do what Condor said different bulb.
