Guest tenglin Posted March 1, 2008 Share #1 Posted March 1, 2008 I have a 1986 Venture Royale with 50k on it . I have replaced all the diaphrams and want to synchronize the carbs. My problem is the #4 cylinder has full vacuum all the time and when I connect the Carbtune the vacuum tries to suck the fluid out. I am new at this and would appreciate any help. BuddyRich Posted March 1, 2008 Share #2 Posted March 1, 2008 The vacuum will always be full. Check to be sure the reducer in the line is not split. The way to check it is to change your carb tune hoses around and see if the problem moves.
Squeeze Posted March 1, 2008 Share #3 Posted March 1, 2008 Or, get some T-Connectors for the Hoses and put all four Hoses togehter that they are feeded from only one Cylinder. This Way, you can see any Difference on the Rods, because al four 'Channels' are worked from the Vacuum. This Way you can be Sure, that all four Rods on the Carbtune show the same Level. Marcarl Posted March 1, 2008 Share #4 Posted March 1, 2008 Try opening up the throttle plate on #4, if it is closed, it will draw very heavy, so is out of adjustment and the reason your doing a sync.
