Help with repairing torn fork tube boots?

Grayghost

Recommended Posts

Hello all: I have a '90 VR and noticed that the accordian-style fork tube cover boots have tears in them. Any suggestions in repairing these to keep dirt, etc. off the fork tubes and keep the boots looking good?

Thanks for your help.

Grayghost.

Wrong Grayghost, Jeff! This is Leon; Cliff is Gray Ghost!

And then there is Robert who is greyghost.:confused24: :confused07:

I guess all we are missing is a Grey Ghost. :shock3:

 :puzzled: :headache: :starz:

Hey Leon, it was Wildhair39 that used mower boots on his. I believe they are Snapper. They look pretty good.

All: Sorry about so many Gray/Grey ghosts. A few decades ago it would have been "DarkAndWavyGhost" I guess. In any case, thanks for the suggestions.

Assuming I have to replace the fork covers, is there a quick and easy way to do that without sliding the fork tubes out and re-clamping the new ones?

Thanks, again for the help.

Leon (Grayghost)
