Cory4366 Posted July 14, 2018 Share #1 Posted July 14, 2018 Hey guys, I found a running, complete 85 for cheap money. I want to put subs in the bags but my 84 is the vertical opening kind. This 85 has horizontally opening bags, anyone know if they'll fit? I could use a parts bike but can't find an interchange guide and want to make sure everything fits. sldunker Posted July 14, 2018 Share #2 Posted July 14, 2018 I thought that the 85 had the exact same bags as the 84. I don't think Yamaha had horizontal opening bags till 86. bongobobny Posted July 15, 2018 Share #5 Posted July 15, 2018 Well, the bags are sort of transferrable MK2 to MK1 but you also need the MK2 rear subframe and crash bars to fit them on the MK1.
