Motorcycles and women - how similar they are!

Well it has been a long winter and I was just sitting here thinking about how similar motorcycles are to women and/or marriage. Here is my list of reasons:

Once you have one you don't want anyone else to touch or ride it.

Some guys only get new ones that have never been ridden while other guys prefer used models.

You see a bike that you instantly love and decide to get, then after a little while you can't stand it and it costs you a fortune to get out of it.

Some guys like Japanese, some American and some European.

Personally I think the Italians are the sexiest but they have very high maintenance costs.

When you are 16 you want to ride all the time, a couple of times a day, when you are older you are happy if you get to ride once a week.

Some guys like dirty bikes.

Some guys put on protection before they ride, others just hope right on.

I know that sometimes my bike won't start very well, I have to warm her up for a while.

Some guys like a hard seat, other prefer more cushy.

As soon as some guys get a new bike they want to start test riding others.

Some guys like to go for short rides and others prefer longer rides.

If you are far away from home, some guys like to just rent one and go for a quick ride.

There is nothing wrong with looking at another guys bike.

The exhaust on my bike is too loud.

I don't know about you but my bike cost me a fortune.

Some guys don't like bikes, they only ride cars.

Even after you get rid of one, it can still come back and bite you in the ass.

Some guys like the seemingly harmless low keyed full dressers while others prefer the adrenaline pump of attempting a relationship with a high strung naked sport bike.. Still others fall for the more Adventurous bikes and others even try to stretch things by hanging out with dual sport types.. Then there are custom minded varmints who you just never really are sure about, one day they may be hanging out with a long legged chopper and then you see them flirting with a dorky little moped while smoking 2 stroke oil together down on the corner.. Thing is though, even these custom minded bikers, as odd as they are, will probably be spotted in the long run having the most fun of their lives riding a sticker covered beat up old Venture with their life long best friend who will also have the smell of fresh peeled stickers on her hands sitting comfortably in the passenger seat of the bike that ends up forming the only legal and healthy threesome known to man..

Yep,, strange world indeed.......

Then there come a time in life, when taking up just one track doesn't seem enough and you realize that the whole lane is there for the taking.

Quick cultural question for you Carl = Can you Canuckian's get away with mentioning that one track is no longer enough room to your Trainers Carl? :witch_brew:

I think I get your point, but fact is, it's real good idea to learn how to ride single track before one can really enjoy double-tracking it. Now to double-track properly one needs to have just one more to do it properly. You see, in both cases, 1 and 1 make 2.

Am I confused yet?
