Just got a 2000 yamaha royal star venture and have found that I have to let the clutch out, what seems to me an awful lot before it engages. Is this normal? If it has the SkyDoc clutch or a couple of others, the half disc in the clutch is usually removed and that reduces the friction zone and causes what you are describing.
