Mpwaterdawg Posted February 21, 2016 Share #1 Posted February 21, 2016 Yesterday I decided to tackle replacing the clutch in my 08 RSTD. Everything went fine until I got it all back together and now my clutch stays engaged and my lever will not depress. Any help would be greatly appreciated. M61A1MECH Posted February 21, 2016 Share #2 Posted February 21, 2016 Sounds like you may have it indexed incorrectly. There are alignment marks on the plates and basket, see this topic by Freebird, http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?10518-Clutch-Upgrade, lok for the section right after the big orange hammer:eek: If not that, did you happen to pull the clutch lever in while the clutch was disassembled? That can cause the piston to become mis-located or ejected and lost.
Bert2006 Posted February 21, 2016 Share #3 Posted February 21, 2016 Did you make sure that you aligned the notches on the plates?
Mpwaterdawg Posted February 21, 2016 Author Share #4 Posted February 21, 2016 I figured it out. The diaphragm plate wasn't aligned properly. You guys nailed it.
