Folks,
I ride an '03 Venture. After some work on the lower part of the engine (can you say new clutch) I noticed a "flat" spot at about 70mph where the engine feels like its grinding something up. it goes away and the normal "Mr. Smoothe" of my wonderful engine comes back.
Anyone else get this feeling?

Hmmm, maybe your clutch was slipping at 70 so the engine was revving a bit higher. Now that the clutch was replaced its back to normal. Are you in 5th gear at 70? If so, try dropping a gear and give it some gas. 5th is an overdrive gear. When pulling a hill or bridge at 70 I sometimes drop a gear to keep pulling.
