Intercom/radio ??

It seems as if my radio comes and goes when listening threw the headsets also when it is working the volume has to be turned up more than without headsets. I think there is two settings for IC volume and Radio volume. I also noticed the CB was recieving or doing something because the RX would light up by the headset symbol. Any ideas as to what is going on or is there a certain way to set things up??? Thanks

If the cb shows the rx that means its getting a signal from an outside source. This will mute your radio while the cb is receiving. Try turning the squelch until this dissappears. I get it from overhead lines sometimes or if there are more powerful cb's in the area with a close channel.

Adjusting the squelch has always worked for me.

Better yet if you don't need the CB, turn it off.

I'm getting a noise something like a clicking noise from spark plugs firing? when you turn the radio volume to 0 you can pick it up in the headset. I think that is what is causing the interference, any idea's??? Thanks

Turn the IC volume to zero and see if it goes away.

Take off the seat and maybe even the tank and shift the cables around a little. That may help some.

Mkes no difference Radio or IC volume to "0" can still pick it up, can you relocate the wires? or do something to cover them for more protection from the coils/plugs?
