Anyone have a recommendation for a cooling vest? I'd like to find one for my 30-day ride this August. I read somewhere a great review of a vest that can last up to two days but not certain where. Any thoughts?

On the Two Wheeled Texans forum, many just use the cooling vests from an industrial place such as Grainger. Many have the bonus of also being reflective. They cost much less then ones labeled for "motorcycles".

It comes in Beige which would be my preferance. But the High-Viz orange is safer if anyone looks under your mesh jacket:rotf:
I just saw this one the other day

I'm just not sure if It is $10.00 better:confused24:
I will be getting one for the trip to the International rally just gotta decide

Yeah that is the other one I've seen. One of the customer ratings / comment is made by Terry Kori aka BLACKJACK:clap2: (But it only comes in High-Viz orange)

Yep!!! That works great... :) 'Nother thing. If the humidity's on the high side don't expect anything to keep the high temps down.... except high speed.... :)

661 core cooler. We use these in motorcross. Soak them in water and they expand this jelly like stuff inside. They sit on your shoulders and around your neck like shoulder pads...cool you off.

I have seen Fire fighters and paramedics use these.
We put them in an ice box with ice and put them on the riders before a race during the hotest times of the racing season.

Try Techniche-Intl.com for some nice evaporative vests. We ride in Arizona year round with these cooling vests, they are great. They also have skull caps, bandanas, etc........

For Summer Texas riding I wear a ridecool.com evaporative vest (with sleeves) under my mesh jacket. It lasts from 4 - 6 hours and makes hot weather riding enjoyable. I no longer say "it's too hot to ride". I just soak the vest and go.

RiderDuke, the one from motorcycle close out is the one that I use. I have had it for 3 years and is just about time to replace it. It works great under my Joe Rocket summer jacket.

What size did you get! Are they sized TRU or do I need to get a larger size like I did for my mesh jacket.
