Potomac Eagle Scenic Railroad, Where The Eagles Fly
I my wife & son have taken this ride its a old diesel powered train & cars and it takes most of the day to do. I recommend this ride, see website for more info.

Beckley Coal Mine Tour & Ride. Tour of a coal miners town, homes, school & church and museum of coal mining plus you get to go down inside a coal mine and see and learn what it was like.

Now all the places I have listed above I have been to except the Cass Railroad Ride. Many of the parks listed have lodging, cabins or camp grounds near by and good for group rides.
I will try to update this list over time as I go explore this state my self.:thumbsup:

But watch out for those 1st Gens hiding in the hills!!

I plan on riding in WV this July.We are going to Romney WV to ride the Potomac Eagle train,then head over to Front Royal Va.and ride down Sky Line Drive.Then head down to the Green Brier resort to tour the bunker.Then head over to the New River Gorge Bridge.Then head back home to Ohio,we may stop at the DQ in Gassaway,WV.That is my plan for one trip this summer.Jerry M

I see you have alot of good information about traveling West Virginia. My wife and I are planning our yearly ride and want to do a loop in WV. We always do our vacation in October (wife does not like hot weather). I have ridden all over the southern part of WV since I grew up on eastern Kentucky.
Do you have any suggestions about organizing my trip? We will be leaving central Tennessee and have about 8-10 days to ride. We try to limit our daily travel to around 300-350 miles in a day. Any help from anyone would be appreciated.:2132:
