At least until this Dunlop Elite 3 wears out. I bought a used wheel off ebay. They didn't show the tire very well and I didn't care because I wanted the wheel and rotor. Well, lo and behold, it shows up today and the tire looks almost new. I'll run this tire off until it's gone and come back. I can't turn down a free tire. I bought the wheel, rotor and tire for 142 shipped. Now tire changes can be done at my convenience and faster.

Ah, good. Another member returns to the light side. You'll catch your death of cold riding on a car tire. :D

Don't you know? Once you experience the darkside, you can never go back. It will eat at you, months, years, decades, but, eventually, you will return to the darkside.

Just thought I would mention... check the build date on the tire (last 4 digits of the DOT number, first 2 digits week, 2nd 2 digits year). It looks good but how old is it?

Carefully measure " tread depth", outer edge, compared to right at the center.

I checked the date as soon as I opened the box and saw the tire. It's 2605. Tire's only 3 years old. It'll be fine. Tread is as deep in the center as it is on the edge.

I have a Federal Tire on order. I'll mount this wheel with the Dunlop on it and mount the Federal on the other wheel. When the Dunlop is worn, I'll put the Federal on.
