Additional Comments The best BBQ I've found. Period. Hickory-smoked right in front of you... on actual hickory! Amazing idea isn't it?! :rotf:

This is one of those little dives that you wouldn't necessarily drop right into, but man is it worth it. Every time I make it to Champaign, this is where I do lunch. They have all typical food you'd expect from such an establishment, ribs, pork, chicken, etc. And it's not one of those places where you get a little sauce on the top, your stuff is smothered... including the steak fries. They offer 3 (last time I was there) choices of sauce - mild, mix, and hot. Mix is enough to make my nose water. The prices are very reasonable, and the food is amazing.

Parking isn't the greatest, because it's a small place after all, but I've never had an issue. If there is an equal BBQ joint out there, I have yet to find it. :thumbsup2:

Additional Comments Was summer only with outdoor seating, but has now converted to indoor seating for close to 100, year-round. They have miniature golf, outdoor walk-in (drive-in) with movies on weekends in the summer, and a planned go-kart track. Vollyball and horseshes and more.

Great food, friendly service, and they plan to continue outdoor eating this spring (2009). Wonderful root beer, ice cream and "Didley Dogs" with chilli~!:bowdown:

Always a favorite ride for the wife and I for lunch or dinner and now for breakfast too! They hold old car shows from time to time also.

Just off Rt 89 on the North end of Metamora, turn East at the lighted sign, and follow the drive to the restaurant behind a building and down a little.

Rt. 89 is a decent ride North or cut over to Route 26 following the Illinois river before or after stopping.

Additional Comments A legend in the St. Louis / Illinois area. Very biker friendly with a separate parking lot for bikes. indoor and outside areas for eating/drinking. Food is ordered first come first served so it may be a while standing in line but it's worth it. $.99 1/2 pound burgers, $.29 cold boiled shrimp, pork kabobs, Big Elwood on a Stick...so much more. Ice cold beer and mixed drinks. Great atmosphere as well. Take a ride along the Great river road and enjoy the sights.
