my old machine, couldn't play the entire segment, but to ME, there will NEVER be a comedian, who can fill "red's" shoes! NEVER!
brings back a LOT of very fond memories.
thanks a million, for posting this one!

I loved Red, and he was never offensive, as some comedians are today. Red skeleton, W C Fields, Uncle Milty, Lilly Tomlin. They are all classic. That clip shows true heart.

1969 huh? Was he a prophet as well? How soon before someone decides that 'under God' must be removed? How little attention is paid to that statement today, and yet look how far our countries have come under that statement.
Yes a true comedian, didn't need to climb all over somebody else to gain a good clean laugh.
The good olde days.:happy65::thumbsup2:

I use his audio on the pledge as the introduction for each group of soldiers I teach. It is the greatest motivator. Fortunately the Army doesn't mind "under God". Red's delivery of a one liner will never be matched. And who can forget Clem Kadiddlehopper? Thanks for posting him.

A great American also, I too loved watching him as a kid, I believe the show came on Tuesday nites, and the whole family would gather around the black and white set to watch and laugh. My wife know how much I loved that show and Red, she found some of his old shows on DVD and bought them for me, now I need to go find them and watch them again. Too bad we dont have more comedians like him.

Red was the best. He was my favorite standup comedian. Brings back a lot of memories. I agree with all the other posts. We need more like him. Thanks for the post.:clap2:
