Can anyone explain the difference between the Garmin C550; Nuvi 550; and the Zumo 550? :puzzled:

Differences in screen size is what pops in my mind. I believe the Zumo is the only one that is waterproof and made specifically with the motorcycle rider in mind. But it also comes with a car mount

I agree...buy a map to your local GPS store. :rotf::rotf::rotf:

But it also comes with a car mountI think this is correct. I have the Zumo 550 and really like it. It is water resistant. (I would never say water proof) It has a touch screen and left handed control buttons. I believe, outside of the Tom Tom Rider it's the only GPS designed specifically for bikes.

thanks guys. You all talk highly of the Zumo 550 and I guess that's the one I will zero in on. I just thought a less folks at the GPS store are more interested in selling the models they need to clear. Appreciate the info.

If it is not waterproof it is darn close. Last summer I rode through storm that forced me into a rest area and the bike sat there in a downpour until the rain let up. The Zumo is still working.
