Levelling Links

Can anyone out there tell me more about Levelling links. Are they useful, do they make the bike more stable, easier to handle at low speeds? Please let me know, thanks in advanve for your input. Joopster

They are the best upgrade I've made to my bike. It makes all the difference in the world. Assuming you are tall enough to accept another inch or so and still are able to touch the ground. If you are somewhat vertically challenged, you may want to go with a thinner front tire or lower the front forks. They all have the same ending effect - changing of the rake.

Diamond R makes good, stainless steel leveling links.

Joopster, there have many articles here about the level links. They have been strongly endorsed by most everyone who had installed them. One such thread is

Although the instructions that come with the links say you can install them without removing the back wheel, I did remove the wheel on mine for easier access, but I know others did it with the wheel in place. In either case you will need a lift to get the weight of the bike off the back tire. That may help you decide if you want to take it to the dealer or not.

Boomer came by my house one Saturday afternoon and we had them install and on the road in less than 30 minutes without removing the rear tire.:2cents:
