It's hard to ride with tears in the eyes

Just said good by to my faithful friend today. Digger my greyhound whom I rescued just over 8 yrs ago when his racing career came to an end. Life is a bit sad at the moment. Went for a blast over the hills to clear the head.

So sorry to hear. Losing a pet is like losing a member of the family. They are just like our own children. You did good adopting a retirered racing dog, most people want puppies. You gave Digger a good life and you will always embrace and remember that. Cherish his memory.

Just lost our best friend of 14 years. She was a one of a kind, went everywhere with my wife and I.Still choke up when we talk about her and look at her pictures. I feel for your pain.:cry:

Always hard to loose a pet, dad had a Beagle named Freeway for 17 years. When he finally had to put her down it was the saddest day I can remember. I have only seen my dad cry 3 times...and that was one of them.

A couple years ago I had to put down 2. One of them was my retired drug dog who was with me 24 hrs a day until she was retired. The other a family friend for 14 years. A very hard year. I feel for you and will keep you in mind.
