Hey folks, does anyone know of a kit that turns your rear turn signals into a combination tail light/turn signal? I own a '06 RSV. I have a friend who bought such a kit from HD, and it really looks great. T/Y!!

Try this. I've got the Dynamic Clusters. Scroll down this page (http://customdynamics.com/yamaha_turn_signal_retro.htm) to see them.

A marvel of electronic wizardry, this module makes single filament or single circuit turn signals on the rear of the bike function as running lights, turn signals, and brake lights! The module wires in beneath your seat and is intended for use with L.E.D. or Halogen Silver Bullets or other custom turn signals you have installed on your bike. The unit will work fine with stock turn signals as well, but you will have to find red lenses from another source.

I just worked with a friend to install the LED set from Electrical Connection that Allan referred to. It was a good experience, but a little work to remove and reinstall the pigtails under the fender that connect to the wiring harness behind the license plate bracket.

A lot more light when you hit the stoppers.

I was also looking for a way to brighten up the back. The Custom Dynamics' Dynamic Clusters look like a good solution, especially with the smoked or clear lenses, but it appears to me that they are not DOT approved.

Does anyone know why they might not be approved for the street and what problems one might have using such a system?

True, they aren't DOT approved, however, I only think it would be an issue if you were pulled over for something else AND gave the cop a hard time AND if he even knew they weren't approved. I haven't had any problems with them. I guess it comes down to this: "Use at your own risk."

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to run the wires for the led's thru the post on my '05 Venture? I have unscrewed both the tail and turn lights. It looks extremely tight to get the led wires thru where the plug is currently located . Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
