I see that somebody just posted in the classifieds that they bought a '99 that somebody has put the pillow top seat on. He doesn't like it and is looking for a regular seat. Might be a good chance for one of you who are wanting the pillow top to make a deal. :) I agree with him though, the pillow top is WAY soft for me. I know that some of you really like them though.

I just recieved an Email and I should mention that only the rider seat was changed. My bad. Now that I read my own ad, it reads as if it was all 3 pieces.
I will change the ad to just the rider's seat.

Wish they made it in MM colors.

Hmmmm what was this thread about again? :confused24:
Oh yeah, I remember now, PILLOW TOP SEATS, that's right.........
Thought I'd nudge the thread back to the original topic instead of all this "I'm not comfortable enough with my manhood so I have to defend the color of my bike drivel". :whistling: :rotf:

If anyone can direct, lead, show, recommend a place or person who can help me get the Driver's Seat, Passenger Seat, Passenger Back Rest, and a driver's back rest in the new pillow top or old for that matter, please help a sore butt. Thanks!

Re the colour. Only those with style, flair, pizzaz and the cool factor appreciate the magenta colour....like me
I have a pillow top on mine and it's way to soft. Would love to find a regualr seat. If not I'll be going custom next year.

I have the stock touring seats and am looking to upgrade to a pillow top... would you be interested in a swap?
Let me know!
Good chance of it. Let me ask the back seat boss if she's willing to get rid of hers and I'll let you know.

I have a question about the pillow top seats,
Do they seem to hold water around the button areas, and is that a problem.
From an old seat person..........
Peggy
I know when I wash it the button holes hold water. Don't think it would be a problem when riding.
On a seperate note I will not be able to get rid of the passenger pillow top. After 10 years of riding on uncomfortable seats of my various bikes, my wife loves the pillow top. Since I bought this bike just so she would ride with me more often I definitely want to keep her happy. Looks like I'm looking for a solo seat for me. Either that or maybe pull the pillow top apart and try to firm it up.

Just installed my custom made Day Long seat from Russell Cycle Products. www.russellcycleproducts.com (http://www.russellcycleproducts.com) Went with black/gray herringbone velour vinyl sides in black. Great artistic quality construction and very comfy. Russell was great company to deal with - sent fabric color samples prior to placement of order. Delivered as promised, ships back quickly. I'm happy
Only downside is must provide stock seat pans to build on - but fit is guaranteed to be correct:clap2::banana:
